High Mount Brake light - done.

IMG_2005_zpsfa9e9065.jpg

A few other ADR items like tyre placard, fuel filler neck, unleaded only fuel sticker etc also done.

It's been a good start to the weekend so far. Godzilla is 25 years old this year. That means - Club Permit!

Finally road legal after 9 years of arriving down under.

Thanks mate.

Light is a Narva 84650BL. Came with 3M double sided tape & the LED's can be angled. Hope it isn't the same one you tried that fell off :)

Autobarn stocks them.

I tried to get a Hella 5237 multiple times from the local Repco but gave up as they didn't get back to me multiple times.

Thanks - *nervous look* It is the exact same one and they're ADR approved. I bought it from Repco.

may have been the way I applied it though I did use prepsol on the glass first. It was about 38 degrees and in the sun all day. So a 50/50 chance.

If it does fall off on a hot day Wurth make a brilliant industrial strength double sided tape.

Hmmmmm. I'll see how I go with it. I'm planning to replace it with the Hella down the road anyway

Thanks for the tip. Is the Wurth double sided tape good for side skirts etc too?

Do tell :)

race tune.

Currently on my setup I'm making 350kw at 20-22psi on the -9s with 98pump fuel

This is the everyday tune that is also safe on the track as I track my car a lot now

I have been told by my tuner there is more in them but not with 98

E85 maybe this year but I do daily my car, just got a new car for daily duties this month so we shall see

There is heaps of potential in these turbos if your setup is good enough, they won't crack 400 but when you have full boost by 3800rpm who cares haha

Wow and I thought I was up at odd hours on this forum :)

Something to consider (and this has been done to death on here), the only way to truly compare is to have the cars on the same dyno, on the same day, with the same wheel/tyre combo. At the end of the day 350rwkw is awesome on -9's.

btw do you have a dyno graph of your final run?- I'm more curious about the boost curve on these turbos as I know my setup was modified to hold more boost so wanted to see what they do on the top end on different setups.

On night shift this weekend ?

Yea I know all dynos are different and tyres blah blah

Numbers don't mean much to me all I wanted was something reliable with some power

I'll find the dyno sheet and post it up

They do drop off in the top end, that's just how the turbos are

Edit

329 run

350 run with stuffed cat screwing the top end, will go for another run next service I think

Nice. What gear - 3rd?

Ditch the cat :)

Loving this build. Keep us updated!

Thanks mate. Will do :) Still so much to do!

Went down to Apollo Bay yesterday with an old mate of mine. Covered around 500km's and she ran well all day, even through the unsealed roads we came across accidentally. Got to pretend it was a rally car for a short while. They both got a tad dusty.

Livin the dream, You didn't go down Wild Dog Road, just before the entrance to Apollo Bay did you? Love that Road.

Also, are you planning on coming on the SAU Apollo Bay Cruise in a couple of weeks?

Hah! Yes we did :)

I now understand why it's called Wild Dog Road.

Hmm possibly, man.

It's a bit rough but an awesome drive. Great views once you get to the top.

Looking forward to it. It'll be the 1st time I've taken the car down the GOR since I bought it.

Hi Shivam, I'm the guy from Perth who approached you & your mate while you were resting up in Apollo bay on Sunday.

Found your build thread you were telling me about - good work! It was nice chatting to you fellas. I'm definitely missing my car after a few months away from home as you could probly gather by the way I chewed your ears off!

Enjoy the car after all the hard work mate. You never know I may meet you again later this year if the SAU Nats are held at Phillip Island!

    • LOL, when one "money pit" is never enough Noice, and excellent work mate
    • I have more than enough digging, laying blocks, moving gravel, airrating, feeding and top soiling the grass, and setting up the veggie gardens growing some seedlings,  and then removing all the unused rock to keep me busy for the next few months at least,  hopefully the rain stops soon so I can get a few hours in this arvo, but, before that Sunday is washing day, is every body happy, you bet your life we are Nice country road day drives are a day off whenever I'm muscle sore from all the landscaping at the moment, but, more epic multiple day drives will start once the majority of the big jobs outside are completed
    • I hear that would involve some nice country road drives into the hills for Mark...
    • I thought I'd come back and add something I JUST learned. A Toyota LandCruiser with a 1HZ, mates perfectly with a bottle of Nulon brake fluid. As in, it perfectly screws in. Great make shift funnel when you cut the bottom of it off. This may work for your Corolla.   Unfortunately, tipping a 10L drum is much harder than a 4 to 6L bottle, and they no longer include the easy pour tap which was just perfection to use previously.
    • Guys since i bought r33 gts25t coupe 1994 automatic a/t(manual swap 350z gearbox)  all i got is problems, always problems. Lets start with that when i turn key into ignition(ON) fuel pump doesnt always works. Sometimes i have to turn key twice Off/on/off/on until it primes. Its new, dw300 - 340lph. My gearbox broke so i did gearbox swap, install different intake manifold, injectors and i take pipes. Car was sitting in garage for more than half a year. I did assembly all not that long ago and when i turn ignition cant hear prime. All of sudden it stopped working. Theres many videos on YouTube how to make relay mod on r33 straight from battery so i did and it doesnt work! 😰 30 - battery positive  87 - positive from fuel pump to relay 85, 86 - one of two wires from original fuel pump wires(light blue, grey) and it didn’t work. so I check on ignition and took original BLUE relays wires from trunk, next to fuses. (I believe it’s IGN+ and ECU pin 18. it didn’t work…  tried connecting (IGN+ from og relay) and (ECU 104 from 1of4 FPCM wires) to my new relay 85/86 and it didn’t work.  I unplug FPCM. Didn’t work. im thinking what’s wrong   fuel pump is working, if I leave IGN+ on 85 and 86 straight to ground it works but it’s just nonstop. Since it getting constant 12v after key in ON. light blue wire gives me 6-8v.  so how this should be connected? What causing ECU not giving — on pin? Or I did sth wrong and that’s why it doesn’t work? I need negative signal on ECU that control fuel pump. What this should be?
