Sh[t go mate.. worst feeling when your walking upto where its supposed to be and its gone.. I walked out this morning and my lancer gsr daily was gone(hurstville area) walked up and down my street about 10 times to make sure I hadnt gone insane.. ent up walking to the station whilst calling to report it..only had third party on it as well so im completely out of pocket.. did you have an alarm system or anything on it? I'm trying to figure out what alarm/GPS system to spend 1-1.5k on when my evo from Japan gets here.. I'm interested in this CCTV footage as I live close to a whole street of shops which I think would have cameras.. might have to inquire about it any way to go about it? just call up quote my number and ask?

What else gets to me that it must be one or two/handful of large rings operating here in Sydney so at the least if the police could look at some CCTV around the area and surrounding times in different spots to when it got stolen they may be able to identify a lead and follow it up and smash some of these send a clear message out because lately cars are getting taken left right and centre and thieves are having a field day and its us,the motoring enthusiasts who are out of pocket because of it..

Local shops might be a bit more lenient in giving out cctv footage... macathur square where I parked my car is quite large... security there said only the cops can request footage its all very frustrating! I don't mind going through 10 hours of footage !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Care to elaborate bakemono? pm me if you like/pm me a link to more info about alarms etc

How far away are you from Blacktown?

Maybe give Carbon Car Systems a call and have a chat to Daniel - absolutely knows his shit. Tell him the boys from SAU sent you :P

How the alarm is "wired-in" is what matters most..

some installers do all messy and don't tuck the wires in nicely, easy to trace back and bypass the immobiliser points.

I remember when my car was taken, found it an hour later after quite a joy ride and a resident thinking I was being a dumb hoon calling the cops as i was reporting it, blown tyres and ground down rims basically ended up sitting on its subframe beached in the middle of a street in Glen Alpine, which is you guessed it right near campbeltown. To go from penrith to campbeltown in 20 mins and do that dmg is quite a feat.. Alas im the only person that wishes it didnt come back id be in a GTR now haha

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
