.....not yet :/ lol.

Lol

Get it plumbed back lmao

They still scream with the right build and set up. Mines louder then my mates and he has a vented screamer while I'm plumb back

I thought plumbing it back made it go away completely?

It's the only thing that gives me goosebumps, can't get over that sound of the wastegate screaming.. Even if it is the wank factor :P

I am getting it plumbed back.. But it's the only thing stopping me from driving so I thought I might as well take it back home and hopefully not get pulled over..

Iv recently changed my turbo & gone external gate. Its currently plumbed back & definitely doesn't scream. I do have a section of pipe I remove & then replace with another section of pipe that's modified so I can make it a screamer for track days. haven't tested how well it works yet though.

Maybe get something like that done?

Sorry forgot to mention you will need a titanium dump pipe off turbo with titanium waste gate pipe plumbed back for it to still scream like a screamer lol

Got a Gtr 33 V-spec with loudish aftermarket exhaust and tein coilovers fairly low. Thought cops would be my worst nightmare and dislike them with a passion , but surprisingly they have been very sedate towards me whilst passing me or me passing them. But in saying that you dont go out of your way to attract attention and I only just keep the accelerator pressed to avoid loud than average sound when in obvious view or hearing range! Wish everyone else the same luck!

Yours is purple as well from memory so it would stand out. Are you going to be able to make it to the charity cruise?

Man, if that was you the other week down at Miami. Awesome car!

I'm more curious as to how it will fair in court after the ruling handed down in Bell v Police ([2012] SASC 188)

Forfeiture overturned.

These type of laws clash with constitution. This is Sth Aus case where prosecution was beaten.

The laws are an affront to freedom of association on the bikie front in sa and qld and an interference with private property by the Crown - Both the fault of the executive (politicians) and laws that are unlikely ever to succeed for very good reasons when heard before the High Court.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There is a big, big difference between a 'privilege' and a 'right'. The ability to hold a driver's licence is a 'privilege'. The ownership of property is a right. I'm arguing for no more than the protection of the rights of all citizens and the basic jurisprudential principle of the rule of law.

By all means, take away a convicted hoon's privilege of being able to operate a vehicle on public roads, but their property rights are indissoluble and inviolable. Punishment is about the removal of privileges. It is not about arbitrarily removing the rights of others.

English jurist John Locke wrote in The Second Treatise of Government that "whenever the legislators endeavour to take away and destroy the property of the people ... they put themselves into a state of war with the people, who are thereupon absolved from any further obedience ..."

The confiscation of motor vehicles for hooning offences is not a just law, and natural law principles dictate that when a law is not a just law (i.e. not founded on moral justice), then it is no law at all.

Bikies today SAU members tomorrow. Read article to see how draconian legislation is attempted to be made:

Campbell Newman and ignorance of the constitution (the only document giving us any implied rights) seem to go hand in hand.

AWESOME NEWS!

I've only been driving the Skyline a couple of times a week at the moment. Fairly stock model but the front is way too low, have been left alone so far, only been pulled up for non defect reasons so far.

Probably should stop modding the daily too much.

I've heard of a Golf R getting defected for coilovers and an attempted defect for a stock AMG zorst, mind you AMG exhaust note is rather tasty stock.

Because there's only one legal ADR approved coilovers which I believe are the tein super streets or something like that anything else is illegal according to the law.

even if u get them engineered?

You can get them engineered. To do so, you would have to lock them in a static height permanently thus ruining your Coilovers. Even then, a lot of engineers don't want to touch then.

by this u mean not adjusting them anymore ?:D

or u have to weld them down? :(

then again... how often do people adjust the height of their coilovers? I know I only set mine once or twice in 3 years :P Would nismo ones sound more "legal" ?;)

    • How many of you guys run the synchro os giken set and at what power? Do you then also use the billet plate?  How is it launching with it, any dragy times from 0-60? 60ft?
    • Oh, also, forgot to add these photos I believe.
    • Thought i'd update on this. I was able to get in contact with Craig Lieberman and later on Darryl Alison (owner of Kaizo Industries). Darryl was able to help me verify that my car was in fact one of theirs and is helping me find more info on mine !
    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
