Hi guys,

I had my beautiful R34 GT-T stolen from Newington overnight. Silver coupe with dark tinted windows, spoiler and R34 GTR wheels - rego plate MWW-380. Car was parked on the street.

Had a neighbour say he heard the car start up around 10:30 - 11.30 last night, found out she was missing when i went to leave for work this morning at 9am

If anyone spots her or hears something, I'd love to hear from you!

Thanks guys,

Mick

Yes I'm absolutely shattered. Worst part is, that this was basically my dream/perfect car - it was exactly what I wanted. There's not that many RWD Turbo coupes in this price range that I can replace her with. If insurance comes through smoothly, my payout will still put me behind. It's like I'm back to square one!

I'll inquire about cctv, but I don't like my chances. I just can't believe that this happened in Newington.

When me and tats were living in blaxland ave newington, the flat next door to ours was broken into and our garage was broken into another night as well.

It's a fantastic area but unfortunately seems to being easy to plunder at the moment :(

Wow, that sucks mate..

I see you time to time on Hill road, when communiting to work (I work at Newington)

I'll keep my eyes opened. Hope it's found in one piece.

Suprised this happened in an area like that though.

Outsiders assume Newington ppl own nice things Dave.

Yeah we get thefts up here in the lower Mtns and often those who get caught are not locals.

Terry, there have been a lot of trailers going missing in the last 2 weeks from Winmalee, Springwood, Faulconbridge. At least 10 that I've heard about.

People are too trusting.

I'm trying not to stereotype, but apologies If anyone is offended.

Newington is 15 mins from Auburn, Villawood det centre, Silverwater gaol etc etc. It is an affluent area and still is, but there are also some not nice parts too.

Yeah, my landlord took me for a drive around the area to see if someone had just gone for a joyride/burnouts and then dumped it... Silverwater, Olympic Park, back of Rydalmere... there's lots of areas close by that have 'shady' characteristics.

As owning my own garage isn't really going to be viable for the next few years (regarding property) the next car ( :'( ) will definitely have some immobilizers/killswitches.

I'm still hoping it will turn up without damage, but at the same time i'm prepared to accept that she's headed to the middle east in bits and pieces. Not the way i wanted her to go!

Just keep an eye out for any parts for sale etc too... Sorry to hear its been taken mate, i would be on a war path if someone touched my 34 :domokun:

You're not stereotyping, you're presenting observations.

There's a difference between "all people from X are like Y" and "there is a higher occurrence of X type of people that happen to be from Y than area Z"

:P

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
