Seems they are all over the place with there price of renewals lately. I've taken out another policy and cancelled my old one.... I was impressed with the price. I haven't had any negatives yet.

Waiting to see what Lumley will bill me this year, its due to come in the mail very shortly.

GTR and S2000 with them for years now but the S2000 is currently at a panel shop after someone tried to break into it while it was parked at the casino.

Idiots cut the roof to open a door (and i just fitted a new roof a few months earlier), dented the door trying to climb over and in to get to the door handle, scratched one side, busted the steering lock and made a mess of the alarm wiring, police said a Convertible Audi was also broken into that night in the same carpark and way.

If i see a marked increase the others may be getting a call.

Will also point out Lumley was a bit difficult to get a assessor out and process the claim too, took quite a few calls from us and the panel shop to get things happening.

Was not impressed at the time, hopefully the next bill wont be higher to make it worth the trouble i went through.......

I've been using NRMA vintage for about 12 years on another vehicle I own. Recently bought an R32 GTR and insured it with them for agreed value, premium was around $460 / year. Great deal if your car is secured and does less than 9k per year,

I adjusted my policy today with NRMA VV&C after doing some work to the car. Still very easy to deal with.

However, it's worth noting that the woman I was speaking with said that next year they are changing everything up a bit. Most importantly is that they are going to do away with the 9000km a year limit, and change it to "Do you drive your car more than 10 times per month" .

I can see that being easier to manage, but will open the flood gates a bit I assume, and more customers = higher premiums I would be thinking.

Still, we'll see how it goes.

Dam sad for me and my old 33 ,$ 1200 a year but she is my daily,do 30000 at least a year, thought about getting a dunger but couldn't do it.Lifes to short to be bored out of my brain. :-) :-) :-)

I bought this car yesterday and insured with with NRMA VVC..........

It's totally stock down to the exhaust and radio!:yes::yes::yes::yes:

$589.10 with a $750.00 Excess.

Pretty good deal I think.

Bob.

2014 - $740 with $300 Excess , 46k Agreed Value

2015 - $826.10 with $300 Excess , 46k Agreed Value

Seeing what everyone's values are on their r32s, I have mine way to low at the moment and will need to have it fixed. I'm sure it will mean an increase in the premium though (oh well)

My renewal came around a month ago, $25 cheaper! This equated to around $400 per year for an agreed value of $18000. I called them up and increased value to $22000 which increased the premium upto around 450. I think my excess is 500 might may be less, sorry I'm abit vague with detail as I'm away on holiday at the moment.

I have to say it wasn't as easy as i was expecting to increase the value, took a little persuading and i had to describe the restorative work i had done and how much i had spent over the previous year etc, etc

    • Absolute f*cking nightmare. I had to take breaks constantly, and I was always pissed off when I got home. The line split in Italy on day 2 (we drove from the Netherlands), lol. Driving any narrow European town was... well, sh*t.   Appreciate it man. Here, I'll just drop a favourite from the load I took on Saturday.   I'll update here when things happen with the car, the thing is, with stock power and almost everything chassis-wise taken care of, there really are no problems. 268,000kms now and counting.
    • Ah! I actually managed to snag a lightly used set.... that aren't so suitable for me right now. They don't work on a GTT without some cutting or creative heat moulding. I thought about reselling them myself cause I didn't want to murder them, but it looks like I'm probably going to attempt to murder them/melt them because I may as well. @GTSBoy @PranK can somebody close this thread?
    • Hey mate,  I have a set, one is slightly damaged but wont be noticable once installed.  Shoot me a message if your still after them
    • I couldn't wait But, the black constant tension hose clamps were too thick and there wasn't enough clearance at the T/B and I couldn't get it to seat properly, so I had use a silver one there I also added some 3" silicone over the alloy bit that goes through to hole on the radiator support as it looked like it was sitting on the edge of the hole in the radiator support, I never noticed a rattle or anything, but there was a witness mark It is basicly done, and I can live with the silver hose clamp at the T/B, I will get a black clamp for the head vent though where it is attached to the bulkhead fitting  It never stops...LOL, only issue now with the shock tower brace is it slightly touches the under bonnet liner now, if I leave it it will either wear some paint off the brace where it touches, or damage the liner, so I removed the liner to see what I have to work with, with the liner removed I have about 20mm of clearance, but sadly the middle part of the underside of the bonnet is only dusted with paint and looks crap, so I cannot have that, but.... as I have a roll of Carbuilders premium under bonnet insulation in the garage laying around that is only 5.5mm thick (we were going to use it on the boys Patrol, but he crashed the front of it a few months and it was written off, hence why he now drives my old Honda Accord Euro), I'll use the OEM liner as a template and get the Carbuilders stuff fitted up to cover that dusted paint up
