Z32 300zx fuel filter, 280 rwkw, much bigger than stock, fits in original position, just need to stretch the fuel filter bracket a bit

But then again I didn't see how there will be a problem with the original filter at my power level provided that it's clean

It seems to be an issue with the 34, unsure if its different for other skylines or whether the ryco filter is different..

In short, seems to run into issues at about 360kw on e85.. On a manual. My car was the first one that Scotty was talking about as he was there at the time it was decided 'wtf, let's do a run without a filter at all...'

The entire map went rich when we ditched (bypassed on the dyno) the one month old Ryco filter, we couldn't blow through it. Seems to be an issue with those of us on e85 so perhaps the glue on the element is breaking down and blocking it?

Anyway, the simple fix is a 40 micron Stainless element or finer, although I don't like going finer usually as it will block quicker. As long as the mesh inside the injector is lsn't finer than the inline element I guess you should be ok.

The issue was that it was mysteriously running lean at high load when it shouldn't. Upgraded injectors from 1000s to 1400s and had the same problem. Knew it wasn't the fuel pump so it was the next point of elimination.

Bosch now make a high flow e85 filter with a different paper (as it's not uncommon for the paper to be affected by corn), they are still small bodied with 14 x 1.5 mm threads

It wasn't the fuel requirements, the filter was completely blocked and could not be blown through. It would have limited flow on petrol too if we had swapped back. Gregs wasn't the first with this issue, and it won't be the last.

Keep it in mind when your tuner tells you your injectors are maxed on the dyno, it is very easy to bypass the filter and check it isn't blocked.
