I seriously don't know how they f**ked it up in the first place Pete..

For the money you paid that car should have had the time spent on it and be tuned to perfection

Obviously he did a half assed job and expected not to hear from you again, keep on his case until your happy mate. Some of these problems your having are foreseen problems, so I'm f**king sick of people trying to defend this shit.

"Just take it back and stay in their good books" blah blah blah,.. Should have been done right the first time! Idiots!

I'm sure they have someone who reads this forum/thread so they are getting the picture that they are not setting a very good example.

Any who have you experimented with some higher octane fuel?

It is tuned only for 98 pump but as I said it is better from a remote tune than the Dyno job ???

I honestly hope they are thought they don't seem to be getting the message at the moment.

We re happy when it's reliable mate

I have other things that have to be fix before I go anywhere else.

I also have to give them a chance to rectify the problems.

Struggling with the Torque starter motor bit , my starter motor has no trouble turning and starting the motor, it just stays engaged for a split second after it starts the motor since the build, before that it was fine ?

The start motor is more then likely a case of shit happens and go get it fixed cause unless they swapped your starter with another one they can not f**k it

I agree they have done some things wrong but you can't blame them for everything either

I agree but swap shoes and see how philosophical you are then.

After paying to have job done , one expects it to be done properly by the experts and not to be given your car back worse than when it went in., the problems were all noticeable from the first trip home.

Things can be f**ked if you are not careful how you re install them and I am not saying this is the case, but you say to your customer, sorry mate your starter motor started playing up, do you want it fixed or a new one installed. You do not just leave it like that.

Yes shit happens and I am sure it will be fixed, but 7 months and still farking around with it, it just drains you, could be because I am an old fart and not as easy to get along with :unsure::yes:

Just the way the car feels now I can feel it will be awesome when it is sorted

I see it from the mechanics side cause I use to be one, and as i said most of what is going on is bullshit and they should ashamed to hand out work like that, but blaming them for the starter is a bit much

Like the customers I use to have, change their oil and come back a week later saying I f**ked their wheel bearing

You have every right to complain for things that are obviously not right but just don't blame them for everything cause sometimes shit happens

OK, if you have something that works perfectly well and your car goes in for some work , they pull your part out and re install it and it comes back and it is stuffed, you just say shit happens, stick your hand in your pocket without question, I do not understand your logic ?

And I do know shit happens at times , some times it just does not stop , haha

Agree Brett, if the sm is legitimately buggered it's buggered and Pete would probably be fine paying for a replacement plus fitting. However in this case instead of just being genuinely concerned and providing an answer as simple as 'sorry to hear that, not good, let us look at it when you bring it in' they offer him a weirdass excuse and the opportunity to pay even more money (top $ for fitting no doubt) for a product he doesn't need.

(Edit: Pete's beaten me to it)

I'm aware of another situation where two bolts holding the ac comp bracket to the block were left out, so it wouldn't surprise me if they just didn't tighten the sm bolts.

Take it to Jez and I can absolutely guarentee that you will be 100% happier how it drives

Jez would be well advised to stay out of this mess...until such time as CRD are finished doing whatever they are going to do or Peter decides to cut his losses with them.

It is unfortunate that some blokes knew my builder, I never mentioned them and wish it would have staid like that, but ?

Jez is not involved in this situation, some blokes have said he is an option for future work because I asked some time back for a shop that is closer to the mid North Coast, Gosford is about 1 1/4 Hrs easier both ways, he has never been contacted by me , I have not contacted anyone else, I have my builder..

The car is going back to the builder and I am sure they will do the right thing, by now they will be wishing me to the shit house, after the situation has been rectified I doubt if we will do any new business again, I am finished with modifying cars !

A full racing head might be the go, how about a different turbo, bigger brakes, seen a nice shinny radiator, hahaha

It is all good and will be worked out soon

    • The 296mm rotors are the R33 turbo brakes. The 310mm rotors are the R34 turbo brakes. The calipers are nearly the same, but not. They're the same caliper but the R34 caliper has longer legs so that it sits out far enough to go over the rotor. The pads are the same for both. When you say, "I bough tsome EBC"....did you just mean pads? Or rotors? 310mm rotors fit under 17" wheels. There may be some wheels without enough clearance though. I can't fit my fingers between the barrel of my wheel and the "corners" of my R34 calipers, but there is plenty of room behind the spokes. This is on Enkei RPF1. You can fit 324mm rotors inside a 17" wheel, but I'd be willing to bet that it would be close to impossible with the Nissan/Sumitomo caliper (using an adapter, of course), because the Sumitomo caliper is fatter than the Brembo caliper that is supposed to go on the 324mm rotors.
    • Hi. Can someone tell me what brakes(and mainly WHERE) can i buy brakes on R34 GTT? I bought some EBC which SHOULD go on my car(i have GT but it has GTT brakes) but it does not fit, Brakes are "too" small(296mm) Are 310mm be good or? I have 17 inch wheel so no "big boys" but for me driving i just need one that fits and i can get here in EU/Czech.
    • Since winter isn't that harsh anymore in Poland, i will definetely drive it 365 days a year 😉. But if the snow hits i will try it for sure and let U know. Only swap i am planning to do is of course R34 GTR front 😍.
    • Hey. Very valuable information about pitwork, I will pay attention when buying any consumable parts 🙏 As for the carpets - I got a handful of information from nengun, from which it appears that indeed the carpets for the driver's side are OEM. They are not able to show me any pictures due to the long chain of different sales entities but after I place the order, as soon as the goods arrive at the nengun warehouse from which they will send the shipment to me they can send me photos and if my purchase differs from OEM I can immediately return it / cancel the purchase. I think I will give it a try 😉. Of course i'll let you know what's what as soon as i get them P.s. I know the topic is not relevant to the thread, but both nengun and amayama have these SICK 😍 trunk room lamps available. Do you know anyone who ordered them? I need to have one in my car
