Living With An R33 Gtst

I was going to sit and study for exams, but then I thought that's boring so I changed the coil packs. The car is so much smoother, idle's smoother and quieter and revs quicker too. Another thing ticked off the list.

Small amounts of time on my hands now. So I decided to add some rice, therefore added some LED lights in the footwells. They turned out pretty well actually. Not sure if a tutorial exists but if someone wants one, ill write one up...well I'll probably write one up anyway.

Thanks guys.

I had plans to get an exhaust made before christmas but the muffler I want was not available anywhere, so now I will probably get it done around the end of January due to work and travel before that.

So over the weekend I attempted to fix the passenger side mirror as it doesnt fold in. After pulling the whole thing apart and thinking the gears are jammed, I pulled them out cleaned them, bought new grease and greased them up and reinstalled them...only to have it still not work... :yucky:. Mirror had to be reinstalled as I need to drive to work tomorrow. On the hunt for a mirror which has a working folding mechanism to swap it out now.

Greased up gears:

In the process of removing the mirror, I smashed the tweeter when I didnt realise it as hanging and closed the door. Luckily it was only the casing so I thought what better excuse to properly mount the tweeters.

Went from this (ignore the missing door card)

I call it a success and it makes the interior look so much nicer.

Hey mate - You will find the issue isn't the gears rather its the contacts in the switching mechanism in the mirror. Happened to me and I used this guide to fix it:

http://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/93178-r33-electric-side-mirror-repair-s2/

Shortly after I fixed the passenger side, the drivers side went and I haven't been bothered to fix it lol.

GL - Tweeters look nice like that

Hey,

Yeah I thought this initially but when the switch is pressed the motor make noise and both if the mirror is open or closed, the whole system doesn't work, anyway i ran out of time to try the contacts solution so maybe next time.
