The intake pipe was made up and the blow off valve pipe modified so they will recirculate.

also took the blow of valves out of the car 7EEDBB46-9E19-4D65-BE83-313A2B673C65.thumb.jpeg.278024be8ad2cd7dc115f6f7a8310bcc.jpegand swapped over to a set of bolt on gfb ones 44C33312-2AD2-404B-8120-B20B9981B137.thumb.jpeg.b9165f3b4e7c5ee1fa8396b0777d8731.jpegand then put all the bracket and etc back on so they’re ready to fit back in the car 9A30F535-04FB-4071-BE91-7F0BB3B26888.thumb.jpeg.74220a455b9309a241fb94a6b6a15e63.jpeg

Could have saved money and not run any BOVs, more money for bags and bitches lol.

Also dose is better than whoosh noises, and you're not running a BW, it's  it going to explode with the wrong shaft RPM or a bit of pressure against the compressor when the throttle is shut ?

Also Dose Pipe Sutututu: (note, this is not a BW)

Not sure why I'm not making any boost?20161217_153840.jpg

Overspeeding and compressor surge at high wheel speeds are both things known to break turbos since god knows when - they are why blow off valves exist, and why compressor maps are done with a cut off point which is earlier than where the flow completely chokes.   These phenomenon have been recommended to avoid since they have been breaking turbos since WAY before EFRs existed, and have broken pleeeenty of non-EFRs since well after they were released.

Telling people that it is only an issue for EFRs is pretty bullshit advice for people you are giving it to, and also a pretty major exaggeration of the fragility of EFRs.

Calm down @Lithium you clearly don't get a joke, also that turbine snapped because my motor exploded and put chunks of metal through the motor, not because it was oversped.

It was a joke, same way you and your buddies tell the world Precision turbos are junk and you need 15 oil filters.

There wasn't anything put in there to make it seem like a joke otherwise I would had just lolled.   No worries about my level of calm, I just don't like seeing bad advice being left unquestioned... if it wasn't clear to me as a joke then it may not be to others so had to make it clear that it's very wrong - joke or otherwise.

I have no idea what that last line is about, but you appear to be confusing me with someone else.  I have opinions and friends have opinions, they sometimes overlap and sometimes they don't - whatever you are talking about there is nothing to do with me.

Nah I don’t really want dose, always like the way the gtr valves sounded

Picked this up 376983A4-FCDE-4442-83BE-77FC3C7D216C.thumb.jpeg.8ed40213c04622b9d7acd144ca9b456b.jpegit the electric power steering pump out of an astra

and after modifying the bracket to it’ll sit flat I worked out I’m going to sit it about here D0E84407-405D-4B2F-972A-17CBCE20316D.thumb.jpeg.ac6e832d1566dd2fdccbc84041ed7a73.jpeghaven’t mounted it yet just sat it there and went to the fitting shop

Does that one have a vehicle speed input? At least you won't throw PS belts anymore (if you ever did).

I kept spitting PS belts when the motor was spun close to 8.5k on the limiter at a skidpan. Had to pop it back on twice then ended up lowering thr rev limiter (no fun in that).

No it’s just stays on and I’ll use the factory solenoid on the rack to change the power assistance.

i never had belt throwing issues, it’s just for room and trying to tidy up the bay a little

Fuark. When I was doing mine I was wondering if I should do it like this or black. I bitched out and went black.

Hurry up and get this fitted so I can hate you even more haha

    • The final part arrived today to un-clampify and simplify the intake Who would have though a 1/2" hose stainless bulkhead fitting designed for below waterline bilge pumps would be what I needed Test fit on a 3" offcut I had laying around to see if it would work, and it worked a treat All going well the intake will be on its "final version" tomorrow
    • Good luck on the weekend mate

    • Welcome to SAU, what are you looking at buying?
    • I checked the injectors again (1 and 2, since they’re easiest to access) to make sure they weren’t clogged. Even though the entire fuel system had been cleaned, I wanted to be certain. Everything looked clean, so I reinstalled and connected everything. When I started the car to confirm everything was okay, it immediately revved up high, so I shut it off straight away. I checked to see if I’d missed a vacuum hose or something, but everything was connected. On the second attempt, the car ran without the high idle, but I noticed a distinct “compressed air” sound coming from the engine bay. Tracing the sound, I pushed injector #6 forward slightly and the noise stopped — it turned out it wasn’t seated properly, despite the fuel rail being bolted down. While holding it in place, the car idled steadily without stalling and ran for over 5 minutes. At this point, I pulled all six injectors out just in case I hadn’t seated them correctly or dirt had gotten onto the O-rings. Unfortunately, I discovered that I had damaged 3 out of 6 injectors (the OEM 270cc ones) during installation. So yes, this was my fault. Since only the pintle caps were damaged, I’ve ordered a Fuel Injector Service Kit from NZEFI to refurbish them. In the meantime, I reinstalled my new injectors – the car now idles fine for over 15 minutes without stalling. I have not attempted to drive it so far. It’s not perfect yet, as it hesitates when the throttle is pressed, but it’s a big improvement. Unplugging the IACV with the new injectors idles at around 800rpm, even with the IACV screw tightened fully. But this is probably due to tune.
