-Mazda 3 Sedan 1:20.90

Some of those seem pretty underrated/responsive to mods as well.

I don't know of anyone going from a souped up GTR to a Stock 350Z anytime soon. Put a pro driver in your R33 GTR and see what they do relative to us mere mortals :P

I do personally rate the Evo X though. I have driven one and a friend has one. 220kw at the wheels and some Ohlins + AD08R's and you're like, well, what else do you really need?

Drove the car. Makes my 33 feel as old as it is.

I think you've just been stuck in skyline-mode with rose coloured glasses.

personally i dont find skylines are that special either. Evo's are fairly special (in a not-cool way) but plenty more interesting things to drive around.

Drive one for a bit, but keep in mind everyone on SAU sells their Evo eventually when they realise it isnt very exciting unless driven like a maniac (and then what car isnt exciting when driven to the limit?)

I always justify how much I spend on the pulsar by thinking "at least its not a GTR" because seriously everything I do is like half the cost of GTR equivalent.

Maybe that is the case and my eyes are now opened.

Or maybe my eyes have been opened to see what happens when you hit the track multiple times only to be competed against a near stock Evo.

Or to be schooled on a skid pan. These are the things to consider in my case.

And the missus likes it. But she likes the fatty too. Says she will need some time adjusting.

135i?

They can be flash tuned to some silly number too. Plus, you get all the other niceties of a BMW.

Still RWD, Still Manual, if that's your thing.

Obviously an AWD turbo is easier to just add power and have that added power translate to forward momentum :P

There's a trick to tuning EVOs you either progressively build boost after peak torque, or purely run very low timing at peak torque.

You can happily make 350awkW on an EVO and not throw rods if you know what you're doing.. also by progressively building boost after peak torque or simply running less timing at peak torque and as you get to peak torque you'll end up with a flatter torque curve.

Is that to me or zebra?

Just stated a fact that's all, no dick waving here, just a shame some people perceive a post that way because they have a dick up their arse, and yes evos are great cars but u can't push them like you can push an rb in stock form.

By the way zebra never seen an rb blow up by turning the wipers on, dickwad.

    • @Murray_Calavera iam just considering options 🙂 of course it is very expensive so that why i ask here 🙂  @joshuaho96 I looked at that GCG hybrid(i remember looking at it few weeks before) So this is "that" hybrid where i send them my turbo and they upgrade the inside to Garrett stuff and then they send it back. It cost around 1200-1300 USD which is FAR cheaper than the HKS and it is what iam looking for(i just do not have experience like this...to send something off to "upgrade" ) @tylink720 that is like 150 USD turbo no? 😄 I dont think i have the "ease on my mind" with this kind of turbo. I just put over 7000k USD to "LINK" up my engine...dont want to blow it up with cheap turbo 😄     EDIT: https://www.cj-motor.com/gcg-turbo-charger-for-nissan-rb20det-rb25det-high?srsltid=AfmBOooVeOZ6CZ6r1AIv5m-KPaa6BvudIPJTY8LW78khkd-gQlsaCht9 I looked at this and it seems ok? It is that CGC hybrid and it costs around 1250 USD (with back shipping). Do any of you have experience with this hybrid on NEO turbo? I quickly look thru the forum/web and it seems very good.

    • It's funny, as Ive seen plenty of people use them in cheap builds on YT. And they actually go okay, even though a lot of other maxspeedingrods stuff is terrible. Those turbos seem reliable enough, the only part being, a good quality turbo that is "identical" to it, will out perform it day in and day out. In both a lower boost threshold, and the ability to flow more air at the same boost pressure. As a cheap cheap replacement, not a terrible choice. For cheap and shouldn't blow in a day, not terrible (like other eBay/Temu turbos) for low cost and still decent performance, that's where the question comes in to play from the results I've seen. I'd actually find it hilarious to buy one, and strap it to a paddock basher or some other cheap as POS originally NA car, and send it to the moon!
