Is it sold?

I am so confused.

Even I've thought about it from time to time, I bought my GTT for 11k. If I went and dropped a second hand motor in the thing I could palm it off for what now days seems to be double what I originally paid for. Then sell the rest of the parts I have lying around and go buy a c63, m series or 370. Hell even go find a buck80 shell and drop the built motor in that for lulz.

One can only wish for an insane person like yourself or myself to buy an incomplete project!

Would love a 335i F30 or even M3/4 F80 but yeah money doesn't grow on trees and I don't even have a job at the moment :D (my position got made redundant, so did 50 others).

I didn't wanna bring it up as I'm sure it is a shit thing to talk about.

Taking some time before you hunt for work again?

Doing the reno yourself? Man of many talents.

Everything but the tiling, didn't want to buy more tools and cook up job lol

I only do everything myself because I can't afford some sex spec business to come do it for me, so I DIY lol

I like to try and do as much as I can, but there are some jobs I don't attempt.

I put tiling in that basket, but a mate of mine had a go using youtube clips when he did his bathroom and I have to say it came up as good as I'd expect a tradie to do.

I've got kitchen/bathroom/laundry to do in this place and I'm considering outsourcing the whole lot lol

Haha mate house plumbing is easier than plumbing up cars, especially with the PEX stuff!

Electrical is a piece of piss too, you need to be massively retarded to cook up house wiring!

But yeah I would have preferred to outsource the lot, but I'm an Asian and I'm a tight arse.

Cabinets were all custom ordered and cut to my dimensions then flag packed. Picking them up next week, will be a good surprise lol

Oh that stuff I do, that's not a reno though. I just see that stuff as basic maintenance work and I do all that. First year apprentice work for a tradie. When I was helping my mate put in our new ducted ac/heater he told me I would make a good TA lo f**k him :D

I was more talking bench tops, cabinets, tiling etc but the flat pack is a good idea.

Wait till it comes, haven't bought the washing machine yet, but will be German and throw check machine lights lol

Dad bought a Bosch front loader washing machine, it died after 5 years (electronics). The LG one I bought is still going hard after 5 years. Heavy use (6 people in the house).

Samsung 7kg front loader here, we've had it 8yrs so far, 6 of which has been with kids...

I have replaced one water valve (leaking) and I suspect the shocks that hold the barrel are getting tired.

    • Like others have said, drop the power to give your drivetrain a % of reliability until you can up the drivetrain reliability  It isn't rocket science, build power to the weakest link with a % of safety Whilst upping the the reliability of the drive train is costly, there's no point in having the engine make big power if it keeps eating the drivetrain....ask me how I know, I had the tow truck on speed dial for a few years, and I spent huge amounts of money fixing issues and breakages that really would have been cheaper in the long run if I did it right the first time Me, I like a nice sized fudge factor, that keeps me off the tow truck
