Suitable wheel sizes for R32 GTR

Hi All,

I'm interested in purchasing Volk Racing CE28N however not to sure where to buy them from and roughly what they going for, does anyone have an idea? also I want 18 inch but will I have any problems with the guards? or the callipers (standard).

after looking online I was thinking 18x10.5+18 5-114.3 with 265/35 tyres.

does anyone think these will be too big or is it possible? without loosing the handling

Rays list them at 82,000 yen each.

So that plus freight.

Where from? Start with the likes of RHD Japan, Nengun and then move on to Jess Streeter.

You are looking at over $1000 per rim and they wont fit properly.

The problem with the sticky thread is that how ever well meaning it started out it is now inhabited and infected by the hektik fitment types.  In the olden days the universal aftermarket rim size on an R32 GTR was 17x9+22.  Which just about fits but often as not scraped on the rear.  Now it is apparently 20x11.5+0 with 10 dergees camber to make it fit and no way of applying more than 3 degrees lock.  Hektik in other words.

FWIW i'm running 18x10.5 +25s wearing 265/35s on my BNR32. Rear guards are rolled and the front rubbed with unmodified guard liners.

The tyre manufacturer data I looked at confirmed that 265 is a suitable fitment on 10.5in rims, but every tyre is different so check the specific tyre you're considering before you buy it.

im also running 10.5 +22 rears and 9.5 +15 fronts both with 265-35-18 no modification on my stock bnr32.

im not running hellaflush stance though

    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
