My line has just clicked over to 99,000kms so im now starting to look to get the 100kms service done

can anyone recomend a place thats good to get it serviced?

With my old car (EF Falcon) it took me ages to find someone who knew what they were doing, who did the job right and didnt screw you over including with the price

also does anyone know roughtly how much i should budget for this? and whats involved?

many thanks

adam, when my car hit 100,000km i took it to Hyperdrive, they did and awsome job now i got back to them for evert services and mod/dyno work (got the car book in 2morrow for a services)

Ken is also always welling to help and talk to you about any problems you have.

If i remember right it cost me around $1000 for my major services, that was everything from gearbox/diff oil to timing belt, i also had my brake pads change too

Drop a line to Phil of Phil's Mechanical on 0894933069 email [email protected] or pm Philmech on the forum.

He is a RAW on R33's and he knows Skylines like the back of his hand, just need to tell him you got his details off the forum.

He is at Maddington so not sure how far you live from him, a few people from the forum take their cars to him when nobody else can fix it so a 100,000 klm service is easy.

His pricing is very good compared to other places around town for servicings and that is what you want.

I wouldnt see so many cars with SAU stickers if he didnt know what he was doing.

He is busy but looks after R32/33/34 owners and other imports as the list goes on.

Wow, is a 100'000km service $1000??? Re: Michael... "including your brakes"

I wouldnt have expected that much!!

Better start saving up!!

Yeap AlphA, but i got only the best, all my oil's very the top oils, so it all addeds up in the end, i got the list of what was done, i also had platium(spelling) plugs, and someother stuff done

Slightly off-topic but who can install the biki roms in an r32 ecu?

I heard lucas/aj from speedworks can do this, can Ken from Hyperdrive do this or not?

Looks like thats the option ill be taking in future hints why im interested to know!

How did you go with finding a workshop.

i just went to ultratune... or even your original guy.. just tell em what u need and they'll do it all for you.. most cars are the same..

i guess if u'r after tuning then take it to specialist shops..

Ultra Tune kingsway does a good job.

He owns an 11 second car himself so he knows what he is doing.

    • Bah! I can't see the point in custom number plates at all. I went to the rego office, fished through a box of "premium" plates (the ones that had the "not as tall" option for the front plate) and picked the one that had a 32 in it. That's the limit of the effort and cost I will put into number plates. The only plate that I'd consider paying for would be 2332, but that's not possible here because it already exists from probably 90 years ago, and it would cost a fortune to obtain it, if it were available.
    • After chasing my tail with LS results..... and cheaper than a turbo swap... How confident are you that the dyno is accurate relative to other results? How fast is the car - What MPH does it actually run? Is this similar to what people running this power would expect?
    • Hi mate I am having an identical issue with my 98 R34 GTT. The engie suddenly cuts out under load at about 3-4k, black smoke out exhaust. Almost feels like traction control kicking in. No CEL but still going to check codes later today. Car was sitting in the shed for about 5 months before hand and only idled a few times, took her out with about 1/4 tank, filled up and thats when the issues started happening.  Threw on a spare set of coils/harness and checked plugs which was no help. Recently had fuel pump/filter changed so surely thats not the issue unless condensation in fuel, I just havent had the time to drain it It's running a hi flow turbo, bosch 1000cc injectors, walbro 450L, Z32, Nistune etc... All about 2000km old.
    • I always wonder where the obsession with legal/illegal spacing on number plates in the UK comes from. Because it comes up in comments in every UK-based video I see on youtube. From my point of view all of your plates look a bit odd. Just because there are no markings whatsoever. In Australia we have the state that has to be on it. In Europe you get stamps and state logos. Yours look a bit like a throwaway draft that people then stuck with. And attached with blu tack so that it falls off at the slightest disturbance. Not trying to hate, but it's interesting how things are done in different countries. Do you have to follow a lettering convention when choosing a custom plate?
    • Hybrid sounds like a supercharger... It's half a turbo, with a belt to drive it! Oh wait, they're just called super chargers...
