Anyone able to tell me how 18x9.5 +22 front and rear would go on a 32 GTS-4?

If anyone's running that or similar on their 32, what tire sizes are you running and how much work if any was needed on the guards?

  • 2 weeks later...

if you know the offsets of your current rims, go here http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp and it will tell you how the other rims will sit relative to your current ones

Found a photo of a 33 with D1R's at 18 x 9 +32 which look fine

Used that tool suggested above and seems the 8.5's will sit 10mm further in the guards....

Thats not to bad I guess unless I just get 9's all round

Thought there was a difference between the position of the front and rear hub, but I guess not. Theres a fair few people running Identical wheels front and back that look fine

Thanks for that tool pistol-pete, good enough to work out from the photo i found how it will look

might find the offset for my wheels and check out comparison for them to when i find the time

look for my car 18x10 + 20 rear

front is 18x9.5 +15 w/ +25mm front fenders or look for hamish (joeyjoeyjoe's) car he is similar specs to what yo are after.

to answer your question is yes it will fit, yes you will need to roll and probably pull fronts a bit yes will look good

Hmm not sure of current offset might check it out another day

If +30 is flush for 9's then I dont mind if they sit 5mm in the guard if that's true lol

I have D1R in 18x9+32...they sit flush at front, but the back could be spaced out about 15mm or so...might be worth going 9.5 in the rear? I'm going to buy spacers for the rear. Doesn't look bad as it is though, unless you're one of those hella flush people who have to have to have the guard rubbing tyre before it is considered cool

Will need to roll guards if you're sitting lowish though...I kept scraping when cornering.

Hey everyone,

Looking at ROTA G-Force 18x9 5x114.3 wheels in gunmetal

Would a +27 offset fit? I was recommended by ROTA for the +27s, but i was told by tyrepower that my guards would need to be rolled with +27s, and that i should stick with something from a +30 to +40 offset, so i was initially going to go for the +35 offset on those ROTA's

Anybody know which fits better?

Thanks everyone

Hi Guys, I have read a fair bit of this topic but am still struggling to figure out what offset etc to get. I want to get a set of TE37's in 18's for my R33gtst. It only has coilovers and isnt crazy low and I dont want to roll the guards or anything like that. What would be the best width and offset for the front and back? I know it depends on what sort of look you want as well , i just want something that sits neat in the guard if you know what I mean. Thanks for the help.

Roll the guards - it doesn't hurt in anyway. You can go 9" front and 10" at the back +30 to 39 for both front and back which would be fine

27s are fine you might need to roll your guards but thats no big deal. back i wouldnt think need rolling depending on your ride hieght you can go much lower offsets too.

look for dezz he had te's on his 33 and try find sizes they sat exactlty as your asking but i dunno what specs or pm him .. either way. id suggest something along th lines of 9+30 (f) and 9.5 +15 ® should be safe could go slight higher if offfset if your worried like +35 front and +20/25 rear

Thanks guys much appreciated. I'll post what what I end up getting which may be awhile becuase I want TE37's in black which are proving to be hard to get unless I order them brand new. Thanks again

Vehicle: 1992 HCR32 GTS-t

Wheels: Work Emotion XD9

Sizes: 18x9+20 front and 18x10+18 rear

Tyres: Bridgestone Potenza GIII's 235/40/18 fronts and 245/40/18 rears (minimal stretch)

Guard modifications: Fronts - mean fitment/no rubbing, rears - rubbed shitloads until we rolled and flared the rear guards. now barely ever rubs unless i go over a big bump on the road at over 70-80kms

Height: Slightly above legal limit

Comments: Front didn't change much in terms of camber etc but rears cambered in a little and produced a bit of toe-in once we dropped the jack. never got around to buying a camber/toe adjustment kit but it didn't feel like it affected the cars handling very much so i didn't bother.

    • Definitely a hearty eater when we go out, I consider these meals my cheat day as I've been watching my calories in and calories out pretty hard since my little fun size stroke, I've gone from a fat boy of 89 Kg, I'm only 165cm tall/short, down to a almost semi lean 73 Kg over the last few years, I'm currently around 17% body fat which my doctor is very happy with, but, my goal is to slowly get down to and maintain 15%,so yeah, I want all of the protein, carbs, fats and sugars when I go out for a binge
    • There was a great one on Victoria Rd in Gladesville too back in the day. I can only assume GTSBoy is thinking of the mill up on the wollondilly, no restaurant there any more but they have restored the original steam engine on site and run it every few months, have an annual steampunk festival etc @The Bogan, you came to the wrong town for restaurants. we have a few reasonable asian and indian options but the Paragon is as good as it gets otherwise. That brewery is apparently just opened, been meaning to give it a go some time. The Highlands have plenty of fancy options but I suspect you are more a hearty eater than fancy eater

    • Going by the intake & injectors I'd be guessing it's a DE, check the head casting number, should be 5L8 on a DET, 5L7 I think is the DE number.
