RB30 Camshaft - difference between the two
Ben C34 replied to VL_Turbo's topic in RB Series - R31, R32, R33, R34 (1986-2002)
I like the way crow cams can't spell medium. Out of curiosity what exactly are you comparing the cam specs to? Each other or some calculated desired valve timing events you have already figured out? How much piston to valve clearance do you have to work with? -

More boost is free, cams cost money. Why don't think you need a cam? You optimised everything else? -

Don't buy a cam. Add more boost. -
Upgrade Front Brakes - 2 to 4 pistons

I asse you have also measured how the calliper actually bolts up? Not just making wild assumptions based on disc diameter? Just do it and drive it. It will work. If pedal feels spongy get bigger master. If feels too hard and wooden get smaller master. -

RB30 Head Gasket thickness for more boost

Cometic also recommend installing dry. Not sure why you think they need copper spray, or why the nitto can handle a bad deck surface. Cometic make great gaskets. Nitto make great gaskets. That's what I mean. For a slap together build no way is the head gasket going to be the actual root cause of any failure. -

Good luck telling the difference between the two. Also I seriously doubt the nitto gasket is any more forgiving than another mls gasket. They all need to have the sealing surfaces prepped properly. -

Fuel tank seal can't do anything like you describe, it's odd you changed it back. How much oil is on the air filter? How dodgy is the maf sensor wiring? -
How low is the pipe work?

Plenty of numpties around. People just seem to think a cat is magic. Not sure what emissions test you are thinking of where you would be running decent boost? -

Cats aren't magic either. The tune needs to be correct for them to function. Has to oscillate around stoichiometry -
Go to jaustech. Not a fancy workshop, but Adam knows his shit and I would trust him any day. Anyway. Pending what you actually want done anywhere could be fine.

Cold oil will show higher pressure so not sure what he is thinking there. Also not sure what you are thinking with 7000rpm and cold oil. Oil pressure dropping is bad.. ... you need to fix that! -

Live in regret of selling something for not much money, not buying something for too much money. I think. Unless you have a questionable cash income stream of course! -

Measure voltage at the battery, and voltage at the pump . You can get multimeter that log over bluetooth pretty cheap from jaycar. Then you can see what us happening under load. I cant recall what ecu you are running, but it should be able to log its own voltage if it is any good. -
It definitely impresses many people though that's for sure!
