  1. Hi mate, if you are referring to GTR yes you can still order them from Nidsan but would take a while and cost a lot. Of you’re after stock ones perhaps also monitor the sales threads to see if any GTRs are being wrecked. Not sure about other models sorry.
  2. Keep the series one lip on the series 1 bumper imo as the series 3 lip as those vertical grooves that wouldn’t look flush with your series 1 bumper.
  3. With the gap on the headlights just get matching paint and patch it up as it’s fairly minimal.
  4. Hey mate, that’s actually quite nice! I cannot believe this is a diy job and your first time! Thanks for posting photos.
  5. That’s it mate. So these are the main reasons? Wouldn’t dry carbon fibre also be the same? It just looks a little funny in my honest opinion.
  6. Look it. Nice and clean with no rice factors such as stickers and big wings. Do you have the undercarriage neons too? Also what rims?
  7. I think this product is good although I have not used it before but have heard only good things. However, I suppose there is no real 'magic product' to keep our cars clean except to clean it often. I try to make an effort to clean my car once every month. Appreciate the write-up though very useful. Cheers, Alex
  8. I had this on my R33 GTR. Looked great but gee, going over speed humps were, shall we say, "engaging"! lol
  9. You need to buy a resister fuse box and connect it to the wiring of your lights as it will definitely flash like crazy otherwise.
  10. Hey guys, I've searched far and wide with no luck and have always wondered by carbon fiber products such as a carbon fiber Nismo 400R two-piece wing I recently purchased for my R33 GTR come covered by a thick layer of clear lacquer. I'm no CF expert so please excuse my lack of information here, but why don't products come out with pure dry CF and always covered by this thick coating? Is it because of the high price of CF, giving it more durability, looks better or why? Any ideas? Cheers, Alex
  11. Hey guys, I have a couple of faint streak marks the front side windows of my R33 GTR and I have tried to remove it with many products and nothing has worked. Any tips? It looks a bit like the photo below. This is probably caused by leaving the windows down for a long time during summer. https://i.ytimg.com/vi/RBrE1_uCmmo/maxresdefault.jpg
  12. Post up some photos mate. As I have never seen a wrapped car that looks descent but I'm sure yours may e different. Cheers
  13. Hey guys, I just rang NRMA Classic and Vintage Car Insurance on 1800 646 605 - being RACV here in Victoria and was advised that they no longer take on Nissan Skylines and do not deem them as Classics or Vintage cars. The chap I spoke to said the rule change happened about 6 months ago! So he offered to transfer me to the usual NRMA Insurance line for a quotation and it came out to $1,850. AAAARHHHHHHHHHHHHH Any tips? Cheers, Alex
  14. The below is from my personal experience. I had two pairs of LMGT4's that were badly damaged. 1. No, the whole wheel needed to be repaired, sanded and then repainted. 2. Depending on where the engravings are, if it is close to the damaged area then no you will lose them. 3. Not sure what you mean about this last question, but suggest you order genuine stickers and slap them on after repairs. It won't be cheap and you will need to shop around for quality places that do good sandblasting and powder coating.
  15. The OP did say: "So ideally for the sake of ease id like one place who would be able to not only fit all the items but wire them up correctly as well." Just saying...
  16. You're spot on mate. I've taken the cluster out before to change blown dash globes so it's not too bad but the soldering part I'm stuck so guess will leave it as is for a while until I have time to bring it to mechanics. Once again, much appreciated mate.
  17. It may just be me, but I freaked hate the camber look. I mean, you and can have a rough GTR and have straight wheels.
  18. I personal had the TS rear diffusers and front canards and eventually sold both as they’re just not practical for everyday use. The car is looking really good and is tough as nails. Only thing is it needs those front “nostrils” that R33 GTRs are known for.
  19. Hey mate, you're a life-saver. Much appreciated. So if I don't really care about the Rev cluster for now as I'm too busy leaving it as is won't harm or damage my GTR in anyway, would it? Seems to be a fairly complex skills fix and requires a lot of time to take the dash apart both of which I do not have. Once again, many thanks.
  20. Much appreciated mate. I'll give it a go soon. Cheers, Alex
  21. Ha ha ha ha...well that's one option or he can go to Topstage on the other end of the spectrum. ?
  22. Perhaps...but the OP sounded so serious so I gave him the best option. Will post photos after I follow your advice on how to give it a good clean! ?
  23. Thanks all for your great advice. I'll give both options ago. Cheers, Alex
  24. Hi mate, I too heard about this - it's very weird as the car runs normally so probably just the Tacho going spastic. Tried searching with no luck unfortunately. Cheers, Alex
  25. Hey mate, although I'm always a fan of using factory or genuine parts as they fit better, but I appreciate sometimes you have no choice and go for replica items. Anyway, for these kind of custom bodykit stuff I suggest you contact Freddy at Topstage Composite Designs: http://topstage.com He can customise anything into awesome looking bodywork. He did a widebody conversion on my R33 GTR a while back and it's been years and the thing is still looking immaculate today. Cheers, Alex
