Well I wouldn’t call myself a PRP fan boy but I have some of their products on my car and have had nil issues. I use their trigger kit, r35 coil kit bracket and cas bracket. anyway I think we are straying off topic, back to the build!

GTR I just got one!
Old man 32 GTR replied to Old man 32 GTR's topic in Projects, Overhauls and Build-ups
Well, after almost 3 months, tomorrow is the day, when the GTR comes home...for a bit. An extensive amount of work has been completed, marking another step in the cars evolution. Still a long way to go before it’s finished, but I’m happy that a lot of the ‘little things’ are now sorted. The car went on the dyno to sort out a boost creep/spike issue, it had a blend of 98 and e85 and was at about 15% ethanol content. It made 420 awkw on the rollers @20psi (gate pressure) and that’s wearing Toyo R888 tyres. looking forward to getting it back and taking it for a run. -

Thanks Daymo, I’m very happy with the result, not sure if you noticed but there are shift lights in the tacho, oil pressure gauge also gives oil temp, water temp gauge give water pressure, fuel level gauge gives fuel pressure, and where the trip metre should be gives boost. -

Up for sale is a near new Century ultra high performance battery. Was purchased new from Autobarn Gregory Hills around February/ March this year. Was barely used as car has been in the shop most of the time. Recently did battery relocation to boot so no longer required. Been kept on a C-Tek trickle charger so is ready to go. $100 pick up only please from Harrington Park cheers

R32 Gtr Long Term Love, Now Project
Old man 32 GTR replied to r32-25t's topic in Projects, Overhauls and Build-ups
Adam is a gun, you’re in good hands. PPG does not have provisions for reverse lights so they won’t work. You still have the switch on the outside of the box, but there’s nothing internally to trigger it. this is what I was told, after the PPG was fitted! Lol You will be amazed how fast it shifts compared to a synchro box. -

Looking good, can it be driven yet? Did you unstitch the boot? I would have given you mine, the one I used with my PPG. Who is setting up the flat shift for you? -

Getting there, I get mine back next week, we should plan a cruise down south, but you’ll have to drive slow so I can keep up. the sequential makes a huge difference, you will love it! -

Yes, I believe this is the case, I know 100% they used the factory top hat and hard lines. I’ll have to look at the invoice to confirm but I believe they used a 255lph pump in main tank and two 460’s in the surge tank. -

Very close now, just got to go over final touches with the dash and it’s done. I’ll post photos once it’s complete. This is the bay -
Strongest sequential and why?
Old man 32 GTR replied to khezz's topic in Drivetrain and transmission
I called them not that long ago to ask a few questions about their sequential, they never mentioned anything about the option for straight cut? But I didn’t ask either, but the standard sequential design is helical cut. -

Well, it’s getting there, car is almost done, dash configuration is being completed, (it looks good) and the last bits and pieces are being fitted. With a bit of luck might have it home some time next week. -

R33 Gtr V Spec - Importr

I went double din with the new dash and choose the alpine unit with attached amplifier. Came out ok, I think -
Strongest sequential and why?
Old man 32 GTR replied to khezz's topic in Drivetrain and transmission
The Holinger sequential for GTR uses helical cut gears, as does PPG and OS 88. Samsonas and Albins use straight cut I think most would agree Albins would be top of the food chain -

My 550whp v-spec R33gtr Needs help
Old man 32 GTR replied to Amin206's topic in Projects, Overhauls and Build-ups
Ok, this makes sense, in the last month or so, I’ve seen people and shops advertising cranks as N1, and as far as I was aware, there were 2 versions of the rb26 crank, the long nose and short nose, I thought maybe it was something I haven’t heard of before, the description threw me. -

Another kudos order, I actually have a spare Speedo drive. But new is always better -
I’ve got a built 26/30 with a 68/70 turbo, last tune (with the new head setup) which is shimless set up, 1mm oversized valves cam tech 10.8mm lift cams, etc, was spinning to 8500rpm. Tuner said it would of revved higher but he capped it there to try to preserve it (somewhat). I’ve also heard conflicting information, some people say they are not safe past 7500rpm, others say they constantly rev to 8500+ with no issues. as for power, mine is making 580ish kw at the hubs, and there are plenty of examples of stock crank 30’s making 1000+ hp, but how long will it hold together? Ill let you know when mine lets go! Lol
