  1. Surprised that Nankang can churn out a good tyre. Been reading some reviews, mainly from UK. They all love it (cold wet weather, conditions where NS-2 on my old 17" nearly killed me a few times). $135 each is a great price, where did you get them from sweefu? Blair's tyres? Also on the lookout for NT-05 reviews. They seem to be a good track day tyre.
  2. Go 9.5" wide with wider guards. Unless you're looking for hellabumholestretchedstance look, then just slap 195 wide tyres on them and -5° camber.
  3. If you can't afford to run your car with 98RON, sell it.
  4. Front should be fine; rears, good luck.
  5. Back when my R31 was running good, I got an extra 50km from 55L fill up switching from Shell 91 to Mobil 91. All highway driving, same condition and driving style (I drove to Sydney to Kiama and back, two days back to back). I put Caltex E10 (the only one they had) in the R31, it would stall on cold starts and ran a tad rough. Didn't do any testing with that fuel as I went straight back to Mobil for many years of happy motoring. Used BP 98 a few times, ran the same as Mobil, but they generally are more expensive so no point using BP.
  6. Define this please. I'm considering switching to Caltex (The wollies servo is closer than 7Eleven, plus the prices are cheaper. I find the 15c hike overnight ridiculous and don't but from the 7 Eleven until prices come down on par with the Woolies and Costco servos). Plus there's a bunch of 'save 4c/L' dockets at home . Don't trust Caltex though.
  7. Tirerack has RE-11 $226 each. Not bad, even after shipping (for two tyres).
  8. That is because RB20 and RB25 ECUs are different. What head/wiring do you have?
  9. I'd do a full service, replace all worn bushes/components and get rid of any ugly parts.
  10. Kristian your letter is brilliant. I don't read news.crap.au so I had no idea about that article. I really hope your letter gets published. I don't have twatter, so has he been called out on there yet?
  11. The first mod you should do is install the 'how to search' mod into your brain.
  12. Same, I use Mobil Funny how Ash is somewhat affiliated with Shell.
  13. Too much sense there matey.
  14. Hahaha, don't worry, the good thing about owning such a car is you get to learn/work on them yourself! Whereabouts are you located? Perhaps an SAU member can help you out. Pull a wheel off and have a look at what suspension you have. To be honest, your car isn't ultra low, so raising it a centimetre or two should sort it out. It might need a guard lip/roll as well. Perhaps a bit of wheel alignment fiddling can sort out the scrub. Your car should have adjustable arms already.
  15. Change it anyway, they're a consumable like the oxygen sensor.
  16. Turned based. First Sid Meier game I played was Alpha Centauri, was good. I'm hooked on Civ5, humble bundle was a good buy.
  17. Civilisation 5?
  18. I stuck an R34 turbo on my old completely standard R32 RB20DET and gained 1L/100km of fuel economy. Truestory.jpg
  19. Are there any stickers on the inside of the barrel? They look like negative offset wheels. Best way to find out would be to measure it. Measure from the mounting surface to edges of the wheel (both direction). The difference will be the offset .
  20. Whatever the source of income, congratulations on your purchase. Hope you enjoy the GT-R thoroughly .
  21. Nope. It was a tongue in cheek post. The noise came after some thrashing. Oil was getting old anyway. The point is, any decent oil will protect your engine, provided you replace them (and the filter) regularly. Since most of the time my GT-R is putting around in economy mode, I change the oil every 10,000km (hence using $75 oil).
