  1. Dude, you're an engineer, nitpicking and talking about specifics and higher level driving! Average user, roadholding tends to be handling.
  2. That's what I was aiming at. Take a corner @ 60 km/h on shit tyres = poor handling. Take the same corner at the same speed on stickier tyres = better handling. But you still need to look at the other aspects. On the flip side, you can have an awesome suspension etc. and have crap tyres, and still get poor grip. But it depends on what you want from your car though (seeing it's a GT-R, I would say, the higher the grip level, the better). To me, it sounds like the OP's suspension is too stiff and low, with standard-style wheel alignment settings/stuffed up alignment. What wheels do you run Luke?
  3. You just pretty much ended this thread.
  4. That Altezza t-boned that van pretty well. Successfully "tuned" for fail.
  5. JustJap say they're genuine ducts and bumper.
  6. You can always fire up Gran Turismo 6
  7. I'm after a MoTeC exhaust and stronger manifold welds.
  8. Maroon R32 GT-R with gold Advan RG wheels and gandor mirrors in Ultimo carpark next to ABC. Nice.
  9. It seems like OP wants to spend a couple hundred dollars on bracing, not a few thousand.
  10. I would look at replacing the tyres first. Think Hankook R-S3 if it's not a daily. Tyres are the only thing connecting you to the ground, so they have a big impact on handling.
  11. If you get a highish maintenance car, you'll spend more time working and less time studying, not what you want. Unless you're rich/have cashed up parents giving you money, you'll have a bad time. If you really want a sports car, there are plenty of N/A options out there, aus delivered ones with lower insurance premiums.
  12. Have you tried sourcing them from your local Nissan dealership? Look on RHDJapan, Amayama. You can simply cut your existing bumper (assuming you have a standard, good condition one) to fit the vents, so you don't have to buy a whole bumper. Note that you can get the vents in factory colours as well.
  13. This thread made me buy an R9 270. Bit of an upgrade from the HD5770.
  14. Hahaha four? Top work.
  15. I removed my sway bars, the car swayed too much. Now it turns like an F1 car.
  16. Too much logic in this thread. Sell your Camry and buy an R31. They cost $500-$2,000, parts can be had for $free - $100. Cheap to insure, torquey 3L engine, convert to manual if auto for $500, women love them. Lots of learning so you save money in the long run. Once you're off your P's, VL turbo kit, easy peasy
  17. Factory option? Got any documentation to prove it? Would be interesting to know this. They did make the 17x8 for V-Spec2 and Stagea.
  18. Probably 8kg/6kg f/r Get the castor increased to +5 or more, gives good steering feel. Front upper arm bushes will get flogged hard (Nismo mounts helps apparently). Wind some negative camber in there, -1° rear, -2° front. It'll chew the tyres but you'll turn like a machine. What tyres do you have? Also, they aren't sway bars (they don't cause your car to sway), they're anti-roll bars (increase roll stiffness, reduces body roll) .
  19. Swap your BBS wheels for something with big caliper clearance. Has to be 17" diameter.
  20. Is this an F1 joke? I don't get it. Never mind, I'm slow today. Good one
  21. Do the solder fix on them anyway.
