AAC Valve location Greddy Manifold
TurboTapin replied to eking's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
If you don't have DBW, I would also recommend you keep your AAC and cold start valve (AKA Air regulator) and plumb both to pre throttle body IC pipe. I plumbed mine before converting to DBW. Cheers,- 5 replies

I was wondering before I trace the wires back, if anyone knew what the purpose of the 100ohm 2watt resistor strapped to the r32 gtst active aero front lip control unit is? Unless I'm blind, it's not in the electrical drawings.

frustrating fuel pressure issue

I'd love to know where you're getting your information from. 5/16" (8mm) fuel hose is as good for "Well over 1000hp" as your single Bosch 040/044 pump is. Your car right now idles at 4.11 with an OEM FPR due to it's internal orifice size, your aftermarket pump and possibly your 5/16" return line. Just an fyi, base fuel pressure is measured with the vacuum line disconnected from FPR. Does what pump hanger require modding? OEM? The Radium I mentioned? -

I agree a healthy 044 should be capable of handling more than 400whp, you may have multiple problems. Nismo FPR's are also on the prehistoric side and meant to be used with stock 5/16 fuel line. Which leads me to another question... are you still using the stock 5/16 fuel line? 600WHP is also asking a lot from such a small feed line. 3bar idle is standard for all RB's and 80% of engines out there. If you plan on running E85, that's a whole other ball game. Everything must be compatible (Fuel pump, injectors, line, etc.) I always recommend AEM 320/340's as I have yet to ever see or hear of one fail. I'm currently running two of them in a radium 3 pump hanger. -

Hey, has anyone here recommended to OP that he change his small prehistoric and obsolete pump as they don't support 600WHP? Oh, right everyone has... multiple times. CHANGE YOUR DAMN PUMP. -
R32 GTST - 600KW+ RB28/CD009 Build

Wrapped up the wiring for my meth injection kit last weekend. Just have running and fault feedback to wire into my ecu left. This weekend I welded on my wastegate flanges and installed my EGT's. Quality control at 6boost has gone down a tad. Wastegate provisions needed some work, angle was all wrong compared to the past two manifolds I've had and the supplied studs were overly plated and required some removal to be used. -

Wrapped up my cold side piping and most of my meth injection kit. I just have the wiring in the trunk left to do. I also ended up receiving my 6466. Went with a twin scroll 1.0 T4. I'm not a fan of Precision not making wheel maps public, and have always been hesitant in the past to purchase from them because of it, but here I am. I am surprised of its small package though. I was expecting the compressor housing to be much larger. It's a tad smaller than the HY35 Holset I had on my RB20. -

Small update. Finished up the front brakes. Happy how the rotors fill out the wheels. I allso received my 6Boost manifold and AEM V3 WMI kit. Worked on a little more intercooler piping as well. 6Boost seems to have updated their manifolds. Flange and pipe routing is different, and it's not painted with BBQ paint anymore which I appreciate. Sadly, I had ordered 3/16 EGT's and the manifold was supplied with 1/4" EGT bungs. I can still make this work, but I also noticed the EGT's I ordered are ridiculously long... so may just replace them all together. I'm on vacation this week so can hopefully wrap up the Water/Meth Kit install and weld on the wastegate flanges. -

Nissan R32 GTR - Powertune Digital Dash Install Guide

Just wanted to add to two things to this post. Concerning the speed input, originally the R32 cluster outputs 2450Pulses at 60KM's to the ECU, Hicas CU, etc. I recalibrated my Haltech GPS speed sensor to output the same and wired it to the same wire behind the cluster. I also adjusted my ecu accordingly. I have yet to fully test this as the car is not drivable for another month or two but I'm confident it should work. As for the battery light, there's no mention of also adding a resistor. A LED will not pull enough amps to excite your alternator. -
I would never risk an engine using cheap ebay parts.

Parts have been rolling in. 6Boost manifold should also arrive next week which will allow me to continue with the engine. It's a long weekend here so I'll work on my front brakes. I'll be going with 350z track edition Brembo's, StopTech 12.5" rotors and Hawk HPS pads. Calipers are both remanufactured and first thing to do will be to paint them and smack a Brembo logo on them for added bling. There's a few writeup of it. I was originally planning on drilling out my hubs for the larger M14 caliper bolts but the idea of using M14/M12 Time Sert's never crossed my mind until I saw this DIY. Thanks! The clamps are P2M's. https://www.phase2motortrend.com/category-s/205.htm -
Thanks for the info. I would buy it from you but I'm presuming you're not anywhere close to Canada and shipping would put your price into new turbo territory. 6466's are had here for 2650$CDN new to the door. Let me know, thanks.

Skyline’s charcoal canister !
TurboTapin replied to Rb25orange's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Always wondered how these worked as I knew they had different part# between turbo and non turbo but look identical and connect to the same areas. I'm presuming on turbo models when there's pressure from throttle body hose, it stops purging. What about non turbo models? -

Have you looked into running a CD009? -
Bringing this bad boy thread back from the dead. I'm just about to purchase a 6466 and I'm also stuck between ordering a .84 or a 1.0. I was leaning towards a 1.0ar but being that I'll be running on pump gas + meth as opposed to E85, I'm worried about spool. This is on a 2.8 with VCT, 272 cams and a fair bit of porting. Goal is 600wkw on a mainline dyno.
