  1. You could go the g30 900 and then you’ll have the same size exhaust wheel as your current turbo and a smaller front wheel then your current turbo and still have the ability to make a lot more power
  2. Well seeing as I couldn’t go to work because of getting beer flu I decided to work on the gtr once I had enough energy. Pulled the rest of the interior out and removed the battery wiring, the battery tray ready to re wire the entire boot. Then I fitted the surge tank in the corner of the boot then started plumbing the tank into the fuel lines I already had I had to wait for 60° fitting to do the last line as it wouldn’t run where I wanted it to without it I’ll be wiring in some solid state relays and etc, just need the engine to turn up and the new wiring harness before I wire it all up
  3. I’m sure someone will make an adapter kit to fit the motor to the gtr gearbox
  4. I wouldn’t go near it, there’s a reason he’s left the cams in, the 3rd journal on the intake cam is stuffed and the 1st, 2nd journal on the exhaust are pretty bad and the 3rd and 4th aren’t far behind them
  5. I’ll just leave this here to refresh peoples memories
  6. I don’t understand why turbo makers are moving away from the twin scroll housings, garret have been doing it for years and precision have done it with anything with a 75mm turbine and bigger
  7. What are people making out of the g35 1050s in the real world?
  8. They can advertise for what ever they like, it’s safe to say they won’t get it considering there hasn’t even been a ztune that has sold any where near that price
  9. An issue people are having now particularly with the r32 is the abs pumps are starting to leak and can’t be rebuild and no longer available, which makes deleting it their only option
  10. Lol and that improved response not killed it
  11. For being road legal it depends if your car was built before or after the ADRs made it mandatory. Considering the N1 GTRs and most gtst skylines don’t have it says that it’s fine I’ve been on the fence about doing the same to mine
  12. I’m building a 2.8 with a 6466 as well, I can’t wait to have it on the road but Im thinking it still a long way away
  13. Here’s where they both belong you will make more power with better response from pretty much anything from Garrett or precision
  14. What are your power goals? What fuel are you going to be running? How often will you be giving it a hard time?
  15. Mine was the typical stock engine with a big turbo on it and It didn’t last long at all, it wasn’t a huge failure it was just little signs things weren’t right, I thought it had just blown the head gasket and when I got the head off it had cracked between the head bolt hole and the coolant jackets in a few spots. I also kinda think the issues may have already been there before I put the 6466 on and it made them more obvious. The braces probably werent around when you built your engine, people were only grout filling and hoping for the best, I’ve gone billet block for my new engine
  16. If you can get a 35-1050 with a twin scroll housing they’d be a pretty awesome choice, I’ve got a 6466 and was very happy with it until the block broke and am in the process of building an engine and going to put it back on
  17. If you need to ask questions like this you need to give your car to a professional
  18. Lol there no way I’d put up with the lag a turbo big enough to flow that would have
  19. I got told yesterday the pistons have arrived and will hopefully see some progress with the engine soon
  20. Bought the new rear housing and had it ceramic coated and fitted it to the tarbin
