Haltech spent all their time/efforts on the Nexus which has that and PDM out of the box. It is a tempting upgrade however the price point is not right for me and I have no need for the PDM - not to mention it can't support fuel pumps or fans on PWM (current demands are too high). At some stage I still would need an I/O expander if I decide to go to DCT or ZF or sequential as I'm out of digital and analogue inputs for gear position, etc. Yea but when you see M2s with just tyres only in stock form doing 1m5s around Wakefield you wonder what we are doing wrong LOL

If we remove the safety/redundancy features of it then you would only need 2x inputs. However having the safety features are a must to avoid throttle control issues. Would be nice if Haltech released a new firmware for the Elite to support canbus keypads though Anyone want to swap their BMW F30 340 LCI M-sport for this? straight swap

Party essentials Finished repinning/relocating my oil pressure, oil temp, fuel pressure, power steering input and freeing up AVI 2,3,4 & 5 for DBW. Motor selaed up too 🥰

Firm beliver of them delivering the goods but unfortunately the majority of the internet has experienced something else and now they have a bad name. They should have gotten the divided housing sorted out on launch day.

Intake manifold/plenum options

Just remeber you don't have VCT and you have a 2.0L motor so the best option here if you want to go FFP is the Plazmaman plenum that utilises the stock runners. Remember to go a divded rear housing on the turbo and twin scroll manifold. You'll need all the help you can get. -

I would keep the stock RB20DET plenum and run Plazmaman swept back piping. Save that money and put it towards a sex spec modern turbo with a divided housing, twin scroll manifold, twin gates. That RB20 needs all the help it can get And throwing a plenum on is going backwards. -
Haha I have a feeling it will be a DCT or a ZF into it one day. CBF with manual lol.

haha yes! simplified calculations puts each of your rods at 125kW, where as for me 83kW
-
Oh hai, I'm sure someone will ask, "why didn't you get I-Beam connecting rods?" Simply put it, I'm not after 746kW at the wheels. There's 0 desire for it, so these Manly H-Beam connecting rods are perfect for my requirements. Not to mention they came out unscathed from cracking a block in my old motor. Pretty excited, should be up and running soon enough 😁

Wiring is going across the firewall (cabin side), then the TB wiring will come out the grommet driver side and then out through that hole where the brake master cylinder is. I thought about using the throttle cable hole but the DBW TB plug wont fit (unless I de-pin it). Following Haltech's instructions I ran all sensor power from the pedal & TB back to the ECU side. I've seen some harnesses where sensor power goes from ECU to pedal, then pedal to the TB. I can't see a real issue with that - however better just stick to what Haltech documents to avoid any issues.

The Asian in me didn't want to pay some auto electrician to make a temporary harness 😂 Future state, will plan out where I want everything to be, and how the cables will be routed and then will pay someone to do the full loom. FWIW, Narva 7 core trailer wire comes with slightly smaller cable (2.5mm diameter) compared to Narva 5 core trailer wire. A bit overkill for sensors and a DBW motor still.
-
And done, finished after my son went to bed. I'm using a V35 Skyline pedal, I did have Z33 350Z one but I didn't like the alloy pedal and wanted a stock looking one.

Making myself a temporary DBW patch harness. It's nothing pro or club level, just amateur level stuff. Pulled apart Narva 7 core trailer wire and bundled up what I needed. Still figuring out where I want certain sensors and looms run. Also, repurposing the old AFM and O2 wiring into an EMAP. For some reason I was under the assumption the power for the AFM is sensor +5V, clearly it isn't so have repinned the narrowband O2 input as a +5V feed for the pressure sensor.

Well for most of the Asian cars, the Euros have been running electronic waste gates for quite some time. And not to mention running an electronic waste gate you have so much more control over a mechanical one.

All the Borg Warner fan boys would froth and masturbate over the turbo speed gauge that's FACTORY & works
-
Nearly a fan, but the rear end just ruins it for me. Also do we know if it's just a crap auto box OR a nice sexual ZF box?

Single vs twin turbo.
