  1. but the colder the air, the denser it is, the more fuel you need to keep it at your target AFR and that means more power Still plenty of gains to run E85 to increase your knock threashold and water/meth to chemically further cool down your compressed air. For any street car that is more than overkill - you would only see this kind of setup in a serious competition car for WTAC or big 1/2 or 1 mile drag races, etc.
  2. FWIW I have an older, albeit larger GTX3576 Gen 2 with a 1.01 divided housing and all 2bar comes in before 4500RPM on a 2.5L RB25DET NEO with 260/9.15 cams. I believe your CX Racing manifold and turbine housing are to blame, also @Lithium's suggestion of the fire ring not installed properly OR missing altogether could be a contributing factor.
  3. Your manifold and an open housing turbing housing would be the culprit here, also is your VCT runing still?
  4. Fair enough, FWIW 370Z runs 355mm rotors and 4x 44mm pistons up front.
  5. Not sure if this floats your boat (OEM+) but you could get 370Z rotors/pads with Z1 adaptors all round. That's my plan (some day).
  6. Or get the replacement coil / coil set and sell it. Buy R35 coil kit - call it a day!
  7. have they started to deform and go black where the epoxy area is?
  8. It's red... lol.... Black or blue, that's it.. no other colour.
  9. Those EGT bungs will definitely do the job! And nice work on the rig, any plans to add motion to it?
  10. It can, however if you have no knock strategies setup it does nothing. For the Kebabtech to do anything you need to firstly enable them and have some form of igntion retard and/or fuel enrichment setup. By default, IIRC nothing is setup. You could simply just press F4, search for knock sensor and untick the box and forget they're even connected.
  11. Nice choice in manifold, funny enough 6Boost started to divide the pulses to the gate seat now. Where as before that wasn't the case.
  12. @niZmO_Man Z looks pretty good, minus the rear end and the fact it's only a 2 seater. Update time, looks like we might start it soon. Next is Fab work, will be redoing the hotside again (not happy with it) and doing the cold side. Hopefully it can still route through the pre-cut hole from the old set up and I can still retain my washer bottle.
  13. Mercedes Moey Don't Worry Silver 😂 It's called Selenite Grey
  14. Street use I suspect it will hold up, as soon as I step foot onto the grounds of Wakefield Park and attempt my 1st hot lap I might witness the box explode to bits 😂
  15. For now, just the NZ Wiring cam trigger kit. At some stage I "might" upgrade however the build costs have ballooned exponentially lol... so much for a budget track car 😂
  16. Just an update, intake and exhaust side all hooked up. Nearing boogie time 😀 It's a strange feeling paying someone to build your car, first time ever. Tuning will still be done by me, Alex said he's more than happy for me to tune it but just asks that I do a few certain things for him to still provide warranty on the motor. I suspect one would be taking it easy mid range with the timing as I'm running standard sized gudgeon pins. Let's hope this time round this motor stays together 🚤🚤🚤
  17. so did the RB ECUs, hence the knock sensors and the S14/15 SR20s
  18. and not to mention all the closed loop strategies for fueling, timing, boost, idle, air temp, air density, etc.. then there's drive by wire, launch control, traction strategies, etc... list goes on! I know plenty of PowerFC fans here so I won't say anything bad because people will have a sads.
