  1. What are they charging you $89 for???? diff oil? ha ha ha... do you get a free top up with that? Yeah, regular fast charging isn't so awesome for your pack either. An easy way to swap packs or adding an additional pack I think will be the way forward for electric racing vehicles and long range ev driving. Pitty the tech is still so expensive. ... I've been reading whispers of a consult style plug in for tuning. But until people start finding the limits of components, it's all going to be a stab in the dark.
  2. no way... not me :-) ... cruise scene in '05-'06 used to be great. Mostly, people are just trying way to hard these days- plus the cops don't like gatherings???
  3. just use a bearing shell...
  4. $$$?
  5. Tell me there are updates???? JW do cam's btw. Cheers J.
  6. what he said... fuel system, clutch, ign system, cooler, oiling system.... etc etc??? The last thing you would get into was intake manifolds and tb's.
  7. http://www.ebay.com/itm/HOT-Famous-Accel-140001-external-50000-volt-Super-Coil-/350411369854 x6 ... never have a missfire again :-)
  8. Maybe mate the two insulators together rb lower to fitt the head and upper vq to fit the coilpack. Other than that, grab some toyota pencil denso coils (from a 1z-zfe?? or similar). Built-in ignitors and the supra guys swear by them.
  9. spit tronic... hmmm don't loose the itb's, loose the afm's and I'd be looking for an new person to tune my car.... J.
  10. ICE make a really nice 16V supply module that I have used with stock ign set ups on pre-(internal ignitor coil pack) rb's. I think this would be a valuable and reasonably inexpensive mod later if you need a little more kick using stock style set up. With a new harness, new coil packs and -5's you'll be fine. Just use the HPI 6.... happy days. J.
  11. It won't affect cold start idle, it's just when you switch the ac on (if you still have it). Or just get creative with the feeds for the ac idle control valve. More for others info, so many people say you just can't do it... well I did? ...anyway, hope your all sorted out. Cheers Justin
  12. If you already have a HPI6 then I would use it. It will make it easier to use some bigger coil packs later if you feel you need them. Essentially with the stock coil packs it will optimize current delivery... If you need more than the factory style set up, 450kw+ sort of territory then you go two ways: - CDI for a race car - Twin spark or aftermarket ign (non cdi) what ever you like. As a side note, I'd stay away from a 'boost-a-spark'. There is an excellent local supplier for a very similar product.
  13. If you loose the ac idle control motor and remove the associated hose nipples, id 1000's will fit without the top section (I used an aeroflow fuel rail) under the stock plenum (might need to shave a few mm off from underneath) and you have to resize the rail spacer. Have fun getting the plenum bolted back down :-) budget 4 hours at least. Cheers Justin
  14. Anyone got an s13 passenger seat going cheap? preferably south Tas. Cheers Justin
  15. 2x new knock sensors haltech 02 wideband can kit new ignitor and coil pack loom I'd also go with a haltech coolant temp sensor smoother? check all your intake, pipes, hoses, gaskets, tb shaft seals, idle solenoid etc.. then lots and lots of non-power tuning....
  16. It kind of depends what you wan't to do with the car? If it's going to be a street car up to around 400rwkw and you don't need a whole range of additional functions then a nistune board and vh45 afm will allow for tuning scope right up to 400kw and will be a very easy, factory idle/cold start/cruise etc Light load, transient load, temp variation etc are all measured better with an AFM and all result in a much nicer street car. If you wan't a whole range of additional options, I'd go a plug in Haltech with optional plug loom and can expander for things like can 02 input etc.
  17. x2 The later gen AEM gear seems to be great value for money. In my opinion it's a better option than a straight ign module and gives most of the advantages of CDI without the draw backs. It's very hardy too... Some water got into the loom plug, shorted between outlet and ground (500+ vdc), just blew a neat hole on the side of the plug and kept on chugging. I use it in conjunction with a custom loom and splitfires.... absolutely no issues with spark yet. J.
  18. SPOTTED kingo beach last night... sounds great! ... have you replaced your coil pack loom? symptoms sound very wiring related. looks good on the street with those side skirts and rear pods too. Cheers Justin
  19. ... yeah your in billet block territory if cyl pressure is your point of failure.
  20. NICE! I'm loving these resto-mod cars with skyline dna. Some pictures would be awsome. Cheers Justin
  21. In my opinion weldon make some of the best fuel pumps available... from a delivery, engineering and reliability standpoint. Much better option than multiple o44's. Yeah they are a bit loud, I put mine in a sound resistant case for long trips. I've always been a big believer in single pump arrangements... I'll PM you with a solution. Cheers Justin

  23. Oh hell yeah.... allways loved the rear fins on the mk3, they make great brittrods. as above... nice rebuilt/good condition stock NA motor, VLt exh manifold/ecu (with nistune), suitable injectors, rb30 afm, rb25 turbo in good condition or a hypergear, suitable fuel pump, intercooler (side mount r34 skyline or c34 stagea is a good option to 200rwkw) and oil cooler with thermostat.
