anyone changed their plates on the iFruit app? I've changed mine but they are still the same as they were before. basically the only reason I got the app. The chop stuff is annoying, The dog always wants something, f**k!

Nothing in here? OP has no first post :S

The TPS is basically a 2 part sensor. One measures variable resistance to get your throttle position, so varies between 0-5V depending on the throttle position. There is also a digital (on/off) switch that will probably be what is bringing the IDL light on. It's been a while since I've played with my Power FC, but pretty sure everything you are saying sounds alright, that switch should be on (Black) when no throttle is applied, and off when throttle is applied. 0.45v I think is what generally the TPS gets set to I had some problems with (from memory) the idle sensor light in sensor check. I thought it was under another name in my GTS-t Power FC but could be wrong I played with the TPS after I got a new TPS sensor (chasing another issue) and never had this problem again. So not saying its the sensor but could be I think when I originally had the problem it went away after a bit of driving.

Hel/gktech Brake Lines, Any Issues?
89CAL replied to hardsteppa's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
I didnt think they looked flimsy? I have HEL brake and clutch lines. Not a problem at all There was one person I think that overtightened the fittings and it leaked but that was an installer issue lol -
FYI, the power window switch is different between s1 and s2

Finally got around to making an oil cooler bracket, Turned out alright using a stock bracket off the car (still not sure what it was actually doing on there though) And started prepping the engine bay. Spend some more time on the bay today and hopefully engine can go in sometime before I go back to work next week

Hello 10 car garage Finally got the GTR look-alike and bombed it up a bit. Only had a 2 car garage and it was already full, was just about done saving for a sick apartment then got this Now to save for a private plane lol......... Nah, time to fill the garage stole one of the Ferrari lookalikes, forgot you couldnt claim it as your own

I want to bring it down to Bris, but will be a while before that will happen. Have to do alot of testing and let the thing run for a bit Be a shame if it blew up, let alone half-way to Brisbane lol Oil Pressure gauge installed. Have run out of room on the A-Pillar, and seen as I wont be looking at it as much It's mounted low. Dash has also been freshly painted. Its a bit of a lighter silver, more of a metallic grey, Bit nicer then full silver although it looks pretty silver in the photo: And a shot of the engine with the Pressure test gear on. Pressure tested the coolant side of things, Dad found a leak in the rear block welsch plug, so that would have been a real pain (gearbox out) job to fix. All good now anyway. Let the thing sit with 1bar pressure in it for about 2 hours and next to no pressure drop and no leaks visable. Off to do more engine bay prep today. Might have to check the intake side of things with a pressure tester if I can make one up to fit

Bens to busy playing with Toyotas lately Nah ill do a build thread when its done probably. Still trying to sell my turbo kit to. If anyone here wants it or has a mate that wants it then ill do a deal. I have $1200 on it atm Dont want to have to post it if I can help it

Get off night shift and decide to build brackets. Only problem is I started out wanting to build an oiler cooler bracket. Doubt this will ever break. My MAP sensors used to be held to the throttle cable bracket with zip ties, so this is a bit nicer This thread is my build thread now to BTW.......

Webber will get it off the line fine, probably have a gearbox/altenator/KERS failure. Poor guy has the worst luck/Vettels hand me down parts..... not sure which
-
I still wish Lotus had got there shit together so they could have kept Kimi. But if he really has recieved 0 euros all year then you can't blame him for wanting to switch. Hope he races for the rest of the season

Damn That was my plan if I ever wanted a harness and didnt want a cage oh well lol
-
Left the mod shop and looked at my cash, was thinking WTF happened here, then checked transactions and realised. Worst mistake ever. I'd have a 10 car garage apartment now if I hadn't done that lol
-
Whatever you do..... Don't accidentally buy the crew paintjob. it's not worth the $25000 you pay for it, especially if its an accident
-
Is it any good for strapping harnesses to if you wanted to run a 4 point harness? Just a thought. Don't know to much about the centre braces

I know in 33's its pretty common when you pull the dash panel where the sensor is out, its easy to forget to plug the sensor or the hose that goes to it back in. When you do this, everything but 18 degrees puts out hot air, Because the A/C Unit has no reference point for the temp inside it defaults to cold when on 18 and warm when on anything but Worth a try if you have pulled the interior apart recently to just check it is all plugged in Otherwise if the sensor is wrecked, best bet is to go to wreckers and grab one off a car there. Mine is still fine in my R33, so I'd say a failed sensor is a fairly rare thing to happen so most 34's should have a working one

I should really start a build thread...... Sorted the brackets out for the ECU, turns out my Power FC was in the opposite way to the standard one, but it worked Got most of the dash back together, just gotta finish wiring up the launch control switch Spliced the Analog out wire from my wideband into the ECU today, Hate cutting wires at the ECU plug lol.... Hopefully it works a treat

Yeah I can probably sneak on at 10 tonight. Have to get ready for nightshift so have plenty of time to play after 10 lol
-
Yeah maybe. They couldnt get an RPM signal from my car for some reason when they dynoed it (ages ago) so maybe it just defaulted to roller speed. Funny that it looks exactly half what the engine speed should be though makes it look impressive anyway, full boost at just over 2000rpm lol

there is your large terminal on the altenator, obviously goes to your battery to charge it up. Then there is a small wire that goes to a stud that is your R terminal. Seen as there was a fire its possible that the R terminal wire might have got fried
-
Yeah, you need to check the R terminal on the battery, I think it has something to do with excitation and the battery light on the dash. I'ts been quite a while since I've done altenators The R terminal should have battery voltage on it from memory. Part of the excitation of the altenator. So if there is no voltage here the altenator will not generate power. This is from memory so not 100% sure if I'm right

Thanks for the pic yesterday man Turns out that when I put the Power FC in, I tried to use the stock brackets on the Power FC, but when that didnt work I bolted them into the car and have been sitting the Power FC in the brackets since then. Bit of a silly one that one lol........ Pretty much done all the wiring bar the MAP sensor and wiring the wideband into the link now. So just about ready to chuck the dash back in. Dad's going to clean up the rest of the bay for me while I'm at work so next week when I get back it should be engine in time.... Finally

I'd be more worried that LED's draw FARRRR less power then normal halogen lights. So if you are blowing fuses then you have a serious problem. But will agree with above. NEVER a good idea to just put bigger fuses in to 'see what happens' They are designed to be there to blow before other more expensive componenets fail, Fuses are there for protection. unplug the lights and confirm voltage at the plug. Check for around 12V Is it possible to plug the tail-lights in wrong or anything? I wouldnt think so if its anything like my LED lights, they just plug into the standard sockets and they will only really go one way. I would contact the supplier and ask them if there is an issue. Maybe youve got a problem with a join somewhere and they might replace them. However now that you have upped the fuse rating, you may have burnt out something serious inside the lights and they might not warrant it.
