Bad Fuel Consumption, Car Running Too Cold
89CAL replied to MrRx7s3's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Nope. It interpolates between if im not mistaken -
Looks really good. Ross one seems so expensive and ive never had an issue so never really considered it. This looks like it has a lot of potential. I could probably get the ross trigger wheel seen as I already have the balancer Must be nice having that gear at your disposal. Id love to be able to make a CAD drawing and then just make it happen lol

Bad Fuel Consumption, Car Running Too Cold

Nismo thermostat maybe? At 75 degrees I dont think its in warm up mode anymore, but would probably be a good idea to sus why temp is low. Probably thermostat as suggested but. -
Surely with the technology they have now, they could put an interlock on the gearbox while the fuel gun is in. Fuel gun still in = can't select gears I dunno, I see the safety reasons behind no refueling, but I think there is a better answer then just doing away with it completely. The gearboxes are electronically controlled, the throttle as well. It seems crazy to me that they were unable to work out some sort of system that stops the car taking off when the fuel gun is still attached. Maybe I'm just missing the real issue. I don't know Aggroman: did you download the 2005 season? I've sometimes thought about watching some old races, but can never be bothered to

Most likely scenario You have the right size fuse in there? If its melting I dare say there is a fair current draw so probably right fuse if not higher. Only thing I would suggest is meetering from one end of the circuit to the clutch to check if there is any resistance in the wire. It wont completely eliminate this but will help Ac belt not too tight? Not too many things it can be. Id watch the clutch when its engaged and see if its slipping. Maybe pull the belt off, engage the clutch and see if it spins ok

Rb25Det Running Badly All Of A Sudden - Cas?
89CAL replied to ccpl's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
So you have the software for the link on a laptop? I would start by looking at everything you can on the link software wbile while its having the problem. In one of the top drop down menus there is 'view parameters' or something along those lines which has a heap of tabs with all the stats of the car. Start with that Have you done simple things like pulling individual coilpack plugs out while running to see if one doesnt change the engine note. You can idividually check injectors in the link software. I think in aux outputs - fuel there is an injector test option The link software is great for testing outputs. Can check whats working (options for test pwm or test that just turns it on) -
Without knowing what sandwhich plate you have/how it works, I dont want to say that im right but are you sure the restrictors arent there to keep some oil not flowing through the engine rather then trying to push it all through the cooler. I know mine does a similar thing with the thermostat in it so was just thinking something similar is going on Not real sure but just an idea. Seems odd they would have a restrictor for no reason

If you really want the answer: 23735-59S00 $49.17 from Amayama. Surprisingly cheap, I was expecting the same as Ben was, although still much cheaper to buy second hand off someone Nissan Aus will probably want at least double that for one, if you think your going to go in there and get one off the shelf for the same price think again. Highly doubt they will have stock and it will def be more expensive

I used the little caps from supercheap. Come in the little blister packs on the spinning racks that have the nuts and bolts on them (or the same style one at least) Don't cost much at all and think they were selling 4mm, 5mm, 6mm and maybe another size They feel a bit cheap, but the one I'm using has worked fine for me

Think about where the pivot point of the engine is and what the damper is actually doing. You are trying to take some load off the engine mounts by 'dampening' the force put on them at a higher point. When the head bolts are done up, the clamping force is strong enough that you aren't really going to bother them at all given the force exerted on them (The damper absorbs some load it doesn't act as a solid brace) If they caused damage to the engine people wouldn't buy them and use them. As for how much difference they actually make, this I cannot tell you. I have heard some people say they are great and other say they do next to nothing. Without ever having actually fitted one, I cant really be sure

Hybrid Turbo Outlet -> Standard Piping R33/rb25
89CAL replied to Torques's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Well either way you have your answer. Silicone joimer or weld on a 90 degree pipe Honestly, a silicone joiner is not going to cost you a noticable amount of power/flow -

Std manifold shouldnt cause an issue with a silicon 90. My 6boost was a different story. Had to get a solid bend welded on -

Photo of how it fits (or almost fits on the engine)? -

The compressor outlet? Has a 90 degree hardpipe bolted to it on the stock turbo, dont understand what the problem with airflow with a silicon 90 degree bend would cause? -
Changed injectors. Have you fixed the injector settings up?

Ps4 version is not too bad. Couple of little extras and been long enough since ive played through single player (making different decisions too) so not bad at all Going to see if online heists work one of these days. Supposed to be all good now but havent figured it out in the 10mins I played online for lol

How To Take Off Front Bumper
89CAL replied to Whoa Black Boaty's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
What exactly is your question? -
Base timing? Not hard at all to set
-
With it idling, unplug them one at a time, the one that makes the most difference to engine note/idle will be the strongest. Leave it in. Might not help much at idle but probably how id do it if I didnt want to waste too much time

Thermo Fan Switching On Causes Car To Stall
89CAL replied to aaron1259's topic in General Maintenance
Possibly. Or the altenator load is dragging it down because the tune isnt compensating. However I wouldnt think brake lights would drag it down that much See if it does the same with headlights + rear demister. If not then quite possibly a vac leak. Should be easy enough to hear with the car off though. If there is no assitance in the pedal with the car off, then a leak seems quite likely -
Thermo Fan Switching On Causes Car To Stall
89CAL replied to aaron1259's topic in General Maintenance
IF thats the problem it shouldn't be too much of an issue. But I find it weird that a tuner would let it go out with such a basic setting incomplete, not unheard of however. First skyline that has actually had coolant in it? People cant spend <$100 on coolant etc? Anyway. It may be a small issue with the tune or he may be blaming the tune when it is something else. Realistically though it should only be tune, IACV or something along those lines. Its not something that would turn me off the car, but im not sure how mechanically minded you are. do you remember what the idle speed was off the top of your head? -
Your injectors sounded especially average My Nismo's are nothing to complain about really. The car idles and drives fine, im sure modern injectors would improve it but its certainly not a pig
-
Simple things first. New plugs, gap to .8, try again. If its better then it may have been your plugs or your coilpacks might be a bit sad Get copper plugs, dont bother with iridium etc. Bcpr6 or bkr6 should be fine. One is slightly longer than the other. Forget which is the more commonly used Otherwise I can give you the part number for the plugs I get from nissan. They are still ngk plugs but were reccomended by my tuner.
-
The Nismo's will work, and they have worked for me. But the new style injectors just handle the smaller pulse widths so much better which is good for fuel economy and idle. These are my main reasons for switching, I'm sure there are some more. Come to think of it, I'm not real sure why Nismo (JECS) have never bothered to update to newer style injectors, maybe they arent as easy to do in side feed, im not sure, but seems like they are going to start losing some business because of how resonably priced some of the newer injectors are getting these days. When I bought everything for my engine I didn't think twice about going Nismo's again, they worked before when I had 555's and seemed cheaper at the time rather then having to buy a rail etc. But I'd just started hearing so many good things about the Bosch EV14's that I had to jump ship. I'm yet to try them and fully appreciate them but I don't think so many people can be wrong about them. I think Scotty NM35 is able to do some pretty good deals on injectors, although I got my kit of Kudos Motorsport at a pretty decent price. If you want the Nismo's and can wait I will happily sell you mine, but if you want to go new top feeds then I understand as well
