  1. Surely that can't be how it came (from factory)? what brand is it?
  2. WTF, has it had a 9v battery hooked up to it at some point? Looks pretty sketchy to me, Personally I'd buy another gauge but thats just me. Anyway, as above, red - Power, looks like its supposed to tee in where the 9v battery terminals are. Black will be ground, but not sure if you have to earth it or if it earths through the MAP sensor mount. and green just hook up to the other green. My gauge has 2 seperate plugs, one is the 3 wires back from the gauge, and the other is power, earth and illumination
  3. I don't work at Nissan, but have access to their parts program and know the best place to get stuff from. When you have ordered as many genuine parts as me you soon work out the best way to get it lol, and it sure as hell isn't through Nissan Mackay
  4. if your on Facebook (or there may even be a website), search for Proximity Motorsport. Leon has been messing around with Skylines etc for years now. As for the parts for your car, if your chasing them new, I can get some part numbers and see how much for genuine new replacements. You won't have too much luck with wreckers in Mackay, so you'll either have to go through one in Brisbane or further, or buy new. If you want me to have a look, I just need your VIN number (the 6U900 or whatever number it is isn't important) and a good description and I can search for you.
  5. You should always put a bit of lube on the end of the input shaft where it goes into the spigot bearing. Peronally I like to use some anti sieze or such on the pivot ball so you dont get the sqeak from the gearbox on clutch in/out
  6. Your A/C compressor should not be cycling every 5 seconds Can you turn your idle down a bit and then see what the car does when you turn the air con on then? Lower revs should exagerate the problem, Just wondering if the compressor is putting more parasitic load on the engine then a normal one. Anyway, a few things to check - * Have you looked at the injector (and timing) maps when this happens. Might pay to do this as a passanger while someone else drives etc. I feel like this is something you would have checked but it doesnt hurt to ask * Your TPS is functioning 100%? i.e set right and the digital (on/off) input to the ECU is going on/off when you go from closed throttle to any sort of open throttle * Can you log when it does that and post a photo of it. Best things to log would probably be IGN, Inj duty, airflow (V) + anything else that might help Lastly, have you absoloutly made sure that all your sensors appear to be working correctly in your sensor/sw screen? It may be hard to monitor this while driving so again get someone else to drive while you watch. I'm not 100% on this but I think in your sensor SW screen there is AC and ACR. one is the signal to turn your AC on and the other is a feedback to tell the ECU that the AC is ACTUALLY turned on. Maybe someone else can confirm, I'm a bit rusty with Power FC
  7. Who cares. Dan is Australian so we like him. He seems to have a great attitudr and is racing well. Does it really matter at this point how he got there?
  8. may as well I guess lol, noone I know seems keen on spending money on driveclub + Internet access lol
  9. Anyone have any R33 series 1 seats or GTR seats they want to get rid of or swap for my aftermarket seats plus some cash? I need to get mine mod plated and dont know if I can be bothered
  10. It was only a link to his father, meaning its better to think of him as Finnish then German if there is only a choice of the 2. Your really taking my post far to serious
  11. I predict Lewis car failure and ultimate depression followed by attempted hip hop career and funny photos. Or maybe that last one already happened.....
  12. Rosberg is a Finn. I dont care what he says. Doesnt matter if he was born and raised in Germany, Rosberg is a Finnish name
  13. If it were me (and yes I know it might just be me), I'd want to find out where the movement is and fix it. You may mask the shroud hitting now, and thats all well and good, but the movement may cause a serious problem later on down the track. If its getting dyno tuned I would look at it on the dyno As above, I had my exhaust side engine mount split in two, never realised this till I pulled the engine out and half the engine mount remained in the car. As far as I was concerned, everything was good
  14. - Take it to a detailer - Buy a new windscreen - Put up with it Those are your three options as far as I'm concerned at this point.
  15. Ah rightio. I just can't stand electronic throttle lol. Well the ones I have driven anyway. Never feels quite as direct as it should
  16. +1 boring economy race. Think the Toro Rosso's being slightly faster (at one point anyway) is just down to the difference between the two cars and perhaps red bull took a wrong step on day 1 with setup. Being Russia is a new track its not crazy, even though Red Bull probably have 11ty million engineers for deciding initial car setup. I think Rosberg could take it to Hamilton if he wasn't thinking about sealing the drivers title. I think he wants to get it done and is cracking under the pressure. Another Homo car failure and he will get all depressed again. At least take the title to the last race.
  17. Are they electronic throttle? Ive never been a huge fan of electronic throttles because they arent instant. Some are very good these days but im oldschool and like a cable throttle. This may cause a little lag Auto's generally lag a little more when planting your foot because the transmission may have to kickdown etc but its never usually too bad. Because manual is a little like cable throttle (in the way that you are completely in control) it will respond better. This is just general thoughts, ive never driven a v35 in either auto or manual but cant imagine its to different from everything else
  18. I'm beginning to wonder this. There is next to nothing a razor blade won't scrape off the windscreen, I've used it so many times and its always worked As suggested by Ben, if its been near any sort of grinding, the grinding sparks can melt the laminated layer on the windscreen and leave you little marks on your windscreen, which if you cant get it off with a razor blade sounds more likely to be the issue.
  19. Well what did the old globes do? Dull or normal? The 3 interior lights and the boot light all come from the same fuse, also shared with the ignition switch light. Have you tried the dome light in on, off and door to see if any setting makes a difference (besides on not letting the other 2 come on) Check your boot light and ignition switch light when the LED's are on and off to see if they dull at all. Report back then. To me it seems like the LED's are dodgy (or are they installed the wrong way around? worth a try turning them around. Being a diode they should only work one way but if it has something to correct this it might be faulty) Other then that the circuit is a bit to basic for it to be anything but fuse, LED's or wiring. Replace the fuse anyway, I doubt that will be it but they arent exactly expensive
  20. If a razor wont get it I dont like your chances with a clay bar. Maybe you need to polish it with a buffer. Probably cheaper to take it to a car detailer
  21. Ended up buying it. Has been fairly fun so far, but the servers seem to be up now Just need to convince some friends to go online and play it now. Not alot bother with online on PlayStation anymore
  22. Thats a pretty damn good job. Would love to do something similar, but its just not high on the priority list lol
  23. I wanted so bad for him to upset the Mercedes party. Think if he led from the start he might be able to hold it till the end
  24. Use a razor blade, you cant really destroy the windscreen unless your stupid with it. Just angle it (like your using a scraper) and back and forth over the windscreen. I did it to remove overspray on the windscreen of the ute i drive out to work not to long ago. Only takes about 5-10 mins
