  1. I run QFM pads as well on slotted rotors (no Brembos but) and I have nothing but good things to say about them, They never squeal.
  2. OP has already said he has tested the switch and it is O.K.
  3. Ahhh just realised, I have Series 1 guards so might be a Series 2 thing hence why I dont have it
  4. Wouldnt the best way to make use of it be to sell it to make money for, I dunno, stickers or whatever Sorry, but it seems a bit silly to use a boost gauge on an N/A just because you got one. If its a Jap brand boost gauge it might be worth $50-$100 second hand.
  5. Yep, front of the head, sticks out about 50-70mm and has a red/black plug on it Pull that out and see if it either fixes the problem, or makes the problem constant. If so then not so bad news, might just need a new VCT Solenoid/Switch (this thing your unplugging) or a minor re-tune just to touch up the VCT issue. Perhaps a mix of both
  6. 2.75" intercooler inlets/outlets?
  7. Yeah sorry I screwed up the pneumatic side of NO/NC. I set mine up using paulr33's FAQ. Pretty sure it shows you exactly how to set it up
  8. Haha yeah, I read lots of stuff about the Greddy radiators not taking the stock shroud so I was happy when this one did. Everything fitted up perfect, was great. Coolant temps stick around 83 degrees while I'm driving now, definently keeping the thing cool Just need some foam for around the top and in a few spots to keep the airflow through the radiator, but its minor shit really
  9. Checking.... or cleaning? Did you clean out the plug I talked about?
  10. I'm using stainless bolts on my side feed injector caps, no issues at all As for the VCT actuator which you have painted, It shouldn't really effect the performance of the car at all wether you painted it on the car or off. By the looks of it you painted it off the car, but I could be wrong. That bit there is all mechanical, the only problem you could have would be oil leaking from the front cover. Seems odd that Something happened when you played with that cover. Maybe there is a problem with the VCT somewhere, maybe in the solenoid or wiring. Have you tried unplugging the VCT and seeing how the car runs? I get the feeling you might have already mentioned that you have done this but just in case What ECU are you running/whens the last time it was tuned?
  11. I don't recall having anything like that on my fenders? You're talking about the front of the car arent you? If so then mine has no such thing on it and its fine
  12. Lol Caterham sold, still racing as Caterham but. Not sure if the name will change next year
  13. I got a Greddy radiator. Very nice bit of gear: Need to buy a new cap that looks a bit prettier but I'm not in a hurry
  14. I made my own. Like the solid feel but my gearbox probably doesnt
  15. Not hearing many good things about the fiveomotorsport injectors these days Best to speak to them and get a replacement. The yellow ring isn't just a backup ring or something that you can pull out and try to fit it without the yellow ring?
  16. Oversize rings and undersized pistons for weight reduction. Will probably double power output on a 6 degree day
  17. What do you mean you've painted the VCT end of the cam?
  18. New Radiator in the Skyline cause the old one cracked. Ready for Test and Tune Friday. For once it lines up while I'm home and the weather is cold So it will probably rain now. Will run the dodgy dash cam I have but have seriously been thinking of buying a go-pro for the outside. Just can't decide if I would use it enough for it to be worthwhile Anyone else heading out to test and tune on friday?
  19. Where does it go?
  20. "Just installed my boost gauge but my car doesnt seem to make any boost, anyone know what the problem could be?"
  21. If you are running the catch can to atmosphere you need to block off the PCV
  22. Any generic engine stand will work fine Best photo of the engine stand I have, holds fine Edit, found a better one:
  23. Did you start a thread to ask if its a common thing? Not that I'm aware of, did you buy good quality welch plugs/fittings? Ive had 2 RB30's and 2 RB25's and have never had a coolant leak problem with any of them from the engine All I can suggest is that the Welch plugs were not of good quality or not installed correctly
