Its also alot to do with the parity of the dollar, i have bought a one, yrs ago, and sold it and i bought a innovate turbo yrs ago from the U.S when they where the "big" thing, but they where crazy money compared to garrets once you changed the dollar over and imported compared to a garret here. The other part is people talked out of there absolute arse about them on here without even trying them..with all the inflated dyno and need mega high boost to work bullshit..its given me a good laugh lately.with the all results coming forth ...lol cheers darren

  4. 76mm compressor, garrett Gt42 S trim turbine(aka 4202), so sameish size as what you have( or same size as GTX4202), but if you have no track i'd go smaller, be a toss up between a 6766 and a 7175 i reckon.. cheers darren

I woudn't look to AWD motorsport stuff to see what that would do(or any precision)..lol, unless you want to run no gate and let the sucker make what it makes..lol, he did that on supraforums to a customers supra aswell,, 7675, making 7680 numbers.....and he did it to the record setting lancer in the video above , the thing apparently nuked itself not long after I like his attitude and his balls though, haha cheers darren

I took my water injection nozzle out of stagea on weekend, its one of the new style cooling mist ones, that are meant to atomise a lot better..funny comparing it to the SUE water/air atomiser i use pre-turbo on R31..like chalk and cheese really the SUE is a ALOT finer..i can see why you cannot spray the pumped systems(250psi pump) pre-turbo without a lot of wear... cheers darren

  13. thats what i am doing on my stagea as i coudn't get a decent muffler that stopped the resonance vibration in the back without killing power http://www.spracingo...Activated_/3673, i am going to just put a 3 inch Y piece right after the first 3 inch straight though muffler cheers darren
  14. On most street tyres the car will accelerate quicker, i've had 4.11, 3.9's and 3.45's..3.45s where so much quicker at any speed with 370rkww. I've done it with my other turbo cars aswell, was always slower in theory, faster in reality. Radials are very picky when it comes to changing road speed and don't regrip easy, i just find the taller gear makes the transition around peak torque a lot smoother and you have more road speed. I know Cubes on here used to disagree with me yrs ago about this same thing , after driving his Rb25/30 for a while, he changed his mind and agreed with me totally cheers darren
  15. well I wasn't sure it was so obvious, you said you picked up 15rwkw going from Brea from standard mani ..so i would have thought the gains from standard manifold to ext gate might have only closed that sort of figure in..guess its one of those things you(not you, but someone) really have to back to back... cheers darren
  16. i'd want a 3.45 ish diff with a RB30, even high powered 300+ rwkw RB25's should really have them IMHO, kills of the torque as boost ramps hard on, makes it a lot easier to get traction and modulate throttle under wheelspin aswell... cheers darren
  17. Stao, in your eyes, what would work best if you had 2 options with the ss2, a internal gate ss2 on a brea manifold..or a external gate ss2 with ext gate put on stock manifold? cheers darren
  18. the breas are a side mount manifold yes, or do they do a top mount aswell?
  19. the turbo to compare the FP 4205R to would be the GTX4202 woudn't it?, hope some of the supra guys in the states give it a try sooner or later.. cheers darren

  21. lol, no you woudn't have..you would have been in a world of pain..with a car in a million pieces, s.1 and s.2 electronically are not the same car, nothings the same ..just ask 4bidn1 on here..roflmao
  22. I'd just stick type B poncams in it ..its a smalllish turbo for a RB25/30, definilty no need for that much duration on exhaust..i'd want a 70mm turbo at least for that sizing. cheers darren
