  1. What coils and plugs? Coil loom breaking down? AFM needs resoldering? CAS bearings stuffed?
  2. You may find you need an R33 Clutch master as your current one may impact the ffp
  3. Yes the R33 has only two rows instead of 3. The GTT one may fit but double check the pinouts. The main thing I can think of is that the GTT may have traction control but if you're just using the harness you should be able to make it work. What is your ecu number? There were 3 different ones. Earliest and most common is the OV300 followed by the OV301 and then the OV310. Do you have someone who can tune the F-Con (you need the special software and licences)?
  4. I think there is a large variety of resonators on the market and the materials used and method of construction obviously play a part in how well they work. I have a 5inch 100 cell Venom cat, a 3in resonator about 500mm long and a 3in Japanese muffler ( had a job to find one that was 3in right through - many are stepped down to 2 1/2 in just before the tail pipe for some reason). This system sounds good and is right on the edge for legal loudness. This is measured at 3000 rev/min and its is in fact quite a bit louder at 6 - 7000 rev/min which is why i keep the revs down around town!
  5. Stock mine didn't last long with 280kw (so I stuck a GTR box in it). Beefed up stockers are allegedly good for 500hp (depending on who built them) but i don't know for how long.
  6. Key to solving problems is to change one thing at a time. Is the ECU set up right for the new injectors, coils? Should have kept the VCT. Have you done a compression test and/or leakdown test? Have you tried disconnecting one cylinder at a time to see if you can isolate the problem to one cylinder? Double checked the valve timing?
  7. Sorry can't find my receipt - but got them from RaceBrakes - I believe they are an AP pattern.
  8. Track down Mike at MV Autos 1 Stirling Road Blackwood in Australia - he does a lot of beefed up Nissan autos - you will need to find (google) a phone number rather than emailing. However at 400kw I think your Nissan auto's days are numbered and you need to go manual or get in to the serious 2 speed drag boxes
  9. My opinion is don't bother. If you must have one get the Nismo as you know it will fit and work.
  10. No I have two half inch vents both above the oil level. One goes to the top of the catch can and one to the bottom. At WOT both act as vents and when you lift off any oil blown in can drain back.
  11. You vent your sump because that is where the crank case pressure is - it blows up the oil drains making it harder for the oil to come down and it ends up blowing out the cam cover breathers. And no ...do not T into the turbo return. But yes try a tube from your dipstick tube to the catch can. I know nothing about CA engines but feel OP would still benefit from reading the last 10 or 20 pages of the oil control thread (on about p3 or 4 of this forced induction section).
  12. Nistune will get you in the road. Z32 AFM is good for more than 300kw - how much more seems to vary . There are apparently more than one type of Q45 afm and some are good for better than 400kw.. I would keep the Nistune and Z32 and save up for a better ecu such as Link/Vipec or whatever you like later.
  13. Well the better pump should feed the engine as it has to build pressure so just get a cheap pump to use in tank, You can get heaps of info and diagrams on surge tanks by Googling but you could easily spend $1000 although it could be done for less. I would tend to go with Scotty's advice - just buy a couple of 20L containers and keep your tank full.
  14. Is your thermostat still opening?
  15. No this: "As for the question of clamp size you will need to measure.." .posted 22/01/2014 Are you really forgetful or have you been drinking? Read the whole thread again in the morning.
  16. Would think 2 would be plenty. I have one 044 in my car and its way too noisy - I'd hate to have 3 of them - there are better (and cheaper) options these days - but I believe yours is a track only car (or drags).
  17. You had the answer to that 6 months ago - measure your pipes/hoses.
  18. Sorry didn't source them myself. I guess whatever fits would be fine.
  19. Post no 10 shows the contacts to short: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/210274-diy-to-do-diagnostic-on-an-r33-s2/
  20. Not quite According to Tomei the R33 DE operates 1050 - 5700, the DET 1050 - 5400 and the Neo DE 0-5700 and the DET 0 - 5400
  21. You bridged the contacts in the plug behind the coin tray?
  22. Never mind the cams - get an aftermarket ecu or at least a nistune chip up the boost a little and get a good tune. And a 3in exhaust.
