  1. ^^^Like he said do the manual swap and build an RB30 - use your RB25 head when you are ready to drop it in. . The low speed torque is great for a daily and you can easily get 300kw with a low mount GT3076. I doubt anybody is going to spot that the engine is sitting a few mm higher.
  2. Takes a while to get to the installation instructions...Performance car for only $1800! I had to pay all of $4500 for my RS4T (mind you I've spent about $15k on it so far)!
  3. There is a cheap diy mod with a welsh plug that sharpens up the box a bit (just got a manual box myself).
  4. Did you get a wheel alignment? Presumably you don't want the stock alignment. Too much negative camber will chew out your tyres pretty quickly. More castor is good - anything up to 6 - 7 deg. The pillowball joints are not ideal for road cars as they will not last as long as the stockers.
  5. Why would you not connect the VCT? My RB30 hits over 100psi from cold but it has an N1 pump. What kind of oil do you have in it?
  6. I would think its not the awd but the auto you have to worry about. The Attessa has a seperate ecu but the S1 stagea ecu contains the auto ecu - don't know what the story is with the R32GTS4. Your best bet may be to piggy-back an E-manage ecu.
  7. Might work in the rear but where are you going to get a 3.6 front?
  8. A good tune is critical - post up your location and you might get pointed to a tuner who knows his stuff (and RBs).
  9. RB30 GT 3540 turbo S1 Stagea 15L per 100km if I boost it frequently or about 12L/100km around town. Have done 10L/100 on a long trip.
  10. Pretty even - should do another 100,000km
  11. Too worn to machine? Have you tried Repco, Nissan?
  12. You want all of 6deg castor for high speed stability
  13. Nitto Invo or NT5 (semi slick) come in 275 35 19
  14. 68deg is too cold. The alleged purpose of the Nismo thermostat is to facilitate even warming of the engine by promoting flow earlier - it is not designed to hold temperature at 68deg and in fact no thermostat can. Ideal temp is probably more like 90deg.
  15. Buy this if you want some torque: http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-accessories/nissan/engines/auction-603949665.htm
  16. You don't want to use a standard ecu so you need either an R34 ecu with a Nistune chip.... or you could probably fit a Link or Vipec into your R33 case and use the loom so long as you double check the pinouts but the R33 ecu itself is no good to you.
  17. Big mistake - the R34 ecu is better because it can be Nistuned and will control the VCT. Although in my case it deosn't matter as i have a Link G4 in the original Stagea case and loom.
  18. Is there a website for the "black box"?
  19. Speaking from experience there is no clearance issue with an RB30 in a Stagea even the strut brace fits no problem.
  20. Forget about the rear head fitting whatever you call it.
  21. Use the Neo head - its is far superior. Whatever you do its is very likely that your car won't be ready for Monday so if you can't borrow a car plan to use some taxis or hire a cheap car for a week.
  22. I can't see a broken hose in your pic. Your best bet is to post up your location and find a member who has a few clues as to how things work to come and have a look -should be able to sort it out quickly if it is just a plumbing problem.
