  1. After seeing the above, I got this one for $30 + postage. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/311514221310?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT I'll let you all know how it goes.
  2. Latest: Hi Daniel, The other mats have now arrived. Give me a couple of days and I'll give the rest of the guys their postage quotes, as we are pretty flat out with the container atm. Regards, Roman Import Monster
  3. Double post....internet is sick here atm.
  4. LOL my old coolant - I was at my local tip [Waste Transfer Station] and I bumped into a bloke I knew. He asked what I was doing with the coolant [also had a big drum of used Hydraulic oil] and oil and I said throwing it out. He then said he would take it for his old bulldozer, problem solved. He reckoned that the dozer lost enough oil and coolant and he would just keep topping them up with old stuff like mine. You could run with a flushing/new rebuild oil and drop afterwards. Could you join the two [inlet and outlet] oil cooler hoses together and isolate the cooler until you change the flushing oil??? Most hydraulic places have adaptors, hell you could even borrow it and return [leave security maybe]. That way you can flush the coolant out of the oilways and block, then change the oil for proper engine oil and job done.
  5. Would not be missed........from what I've heard. Its a shame too, because there are heaps of honest dealers still doing OK, so no need for any fraud and in the long run it doesn't pay.
  6. King Crimson's Earthbound blew me away, its still on my regular playlist and its been almost 40 years [Robert Fripp actually hated it but thankfully went back and cleaned it up for our digital sanitary modern world]. Black Sabbath's Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, was groundbreaking in so many ways, I think it actually opened the minds and doors of many future groups like Metallica, Sepultura etc Smashing Pumpkins Siamese Dreams just took me in another direction.
  7. Its a bit like the imported vs boutique vs domestic beer argument. People swear that one is ssssoooo much better than the other. I use Penrite and my car is fine, but thats me!!! ADM FTW
  8. You did the gauges, what about the sender unit/s???
  9. Here: http://www.agplating.com.au/ I get all my bolts and brackets done for my restored and modded Triumphs done here, so old stuff that was second hand and needed some care etc.
  10. Strange, why??? Nickel coating is not as good an idea cos it can flake and splinter off [like chrome]. But bright zinc doesn't do this [just check out a thousand thousand thousand bolt heads]. I used to use a guy in Punchbowl Sydney for my bright zinc......I haven't done any for a while though, I'll see if I can't dig the contact details out. And BTW, they strip the original zinc coating off in an acid bath first then they re apply it in the electroplate bath.
  11. Zinc and nickel coatings can be reapplied. Most chroming places can do it for you. Internally its a bit tricky but can be done, externally it is easy.
  12. All of a sudden I want to be a musician!!!!
  13. Thats cos nobody really looks at the WTB thread. Everyone looks at the FS thread........I also don't agree with ppl using it but I understand why they do, esp when they are looking for a particular type of car or a hard to find part.
  14. lmao..........thread revival is king!!!!
  15. It doesn't mess with cam timing or affect the results you get from your compression test, but removing and replacing the CAS does affect your ignition timing. When you re install it you will have to use a timing light on it to get it back to the correct timing mark [15 degrees at 650 rpm for R33's, not sure about RB20's, but search cos somebody will know].
  16. Just anneal it and use again, copper washers soften and are re usable many times over. Generally they only start to weep if they have been moved [taken off and then put back on] aged, or work hardened. I anneal and re use mine all the time........and no leaks.
  17. Open a door, grab the top and bottom and try to move it up and down. If you hear a clunk or if there is any movement then you need new pins and probably hinges. If you get no movement at all then it is in the door brackets, try loosening them, repositioning [you only get a little bit of movement], and retightening. Haven't done Skyline doors before though.........but it should be similar.
  18. I used my original ones, so Aqua yes u can. Also got a tool pack for removing them from SuperCheap for $18. Thought about making one out of stainless I had laying around in the shed but got a bit lazy on it. And the group buy deal never ever had or mentioned clips.
  19. Reply to my query: Hi Daniel, I would say that the mats were put in the next container after the last batch. In that case the container should be arriving to Melbourne some time next week. Regards, Roman Import Monster
