Rb26 Harmonic Balancer Stuck
tridentt150v replied to LuckyTune's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Try using some WD40 on it and leave it for a while to penetrate?? Also maybe Freezer spray??? Never had it before, but just thinking of other bolts and pulleys/cogs and how I've got them off and Oxy warming is prob not a goer for this one lol, although I have heard of jugs of boiling water being used. -
Getting blow by on the rings. If motor was cold then could be nothing. You'd have to comp test a warm motor to see though.
-
There is a product you can use for belt slip..pressure pack spray on, most brands like CRC have it. It might help with the squeak as well??? Most belt noise is either too tight or not tight enough.

water pump bearing? check with your screwdriver and put it on the water pump - note you may need a longer screwdriver so you don't lose your god given looks to a fan or belt. -
best way to warm a car up is to gently drive it...that way the gearbox, diff, power steering whatever also get to warm up.

Earrings in the ashtray........simple. Seen it on tv!!! -
Yeah, still waiting on a reply and price for the R34 Vspec 2 ones. Rise I'd say the same as for all of them...........thats what the supplier says, so $251 if we order 10 total - not just yours but everyones.
-
What sort of shocks? Looks ok to me anyway, your ride height is fine, no different to mine. Lots of us use kings and Bilsteins etc and have no probs.
-
So what I will do is wait on the R4 Vspec 2 price then get firm numbers from you all. Once I have a firm commitment, and we pay a deposit etc [probably to the supplier direct, hopefully that way you don't have to take a leap of faith and I don't have to go through the trust thing or handle any funds] we can order. If it doesn't work out like that then I'll go to plan B, but lets leave it at that for now. But wait until we get the Vspec 2 info first.

Ok all this is the latest I have.....came in this morning: Hi Danny Looks like they're all the same price from Nissan, and all in stock, too. Pricing as follows: 5 x mats = $263 ea 10 x mats = $251 ea 15 x mats = $239 ea That's landed in Melb via container, pickup from our Bayswater warehouse. And when I asked about the R34 Vspec 2's I'll check on that one. Not sure if that's classed as the 'advanced aero package' version. Regards, Daniel And we still have: tridentt150v - GTst S2, I might get two anyway, put one away for ron?? hadouken - GTR R33 89CAL - Gtst S2 Get another one so x 2 Robzilla - GTR - R32 Ty1 - Gtst S1 kingtube69 - Gtst S2 kila32 - GTR R34 R33 gtrv-spec - GTR R33 and since thats 10, we will get the $251 price.

Hot off the press.........reply from Import Monster just now!!! "Nissan's been closed due to O-Bon week in Japan for the past week or so, so I'm expecting to hear back from them any day now. R33 Gts25t S1: 65840-15U00 R33 Gts25t S2: 65840-26U00 Looking at about $255 ea for the ones above, based on an order quantity of 6. Once I've got an idea on the pricing of the GT-R ones, I'll be able to give you a more accurate idea on the breakdown for each." And that's way better than the $900 I was quoted for one from another business - quantity and surface freight working for us!!!!

And don't forget this: http://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/458407-nissan-skyline-r33-service-manual-ocr-pdf-rb25-rb26/?hl=%2Bmanual#entry7571257 And It s not my post, I'm just including the link in this thread. Thank the other guy - jamesnorman93.

Coincidence or what>>>I thought I'd better update and there was your msg. Was away last week with work [and in the outback] so I couldn't follow up. I asked the supplier yesterday but as yet haven't received a reply. Hopefully some time today??? as soon as they reply I'll be on here. I'm just as keen as you guys.....but I don't want to badger the supplier either so am treading that fine line between keen buyer and serial pest...........lol.

It really helps if you are proficient at Oxy Acetylene welding if you take up TIG. Anyone that has lots of oxy welding experience already has almost the correct technique for TIG. The filler rod angle, speed of weld, and amperage/pulse etc are all newish but the weld pool, dip and move are all very handy skills.

Max Hp/rwks For R34 Gtt Auto & Manual
tridentt150v replied to Mr Phatt34's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I'm going fishing, should I get a manual reel or an auto? And what should I catch? PHATT you shouldn't ask ppl to help you plan, you should have a plan and then see what is wrong with it. I'd be more concerned about turbo, IC, computer, dump/exhaust, injectors, pump, brakes, suspension, etc etc...........Theres $10K in that alone. Your a long way away from maxing out a GTT in manual or auto TBH. Work at the basic things and get them sorted first. No wonder they are razzing you, its these sort of threads that make their day. -
Max Hp/rwks For R34 Gtt Auto & Manual
tridentt150v replied to Mr Phatt34's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
To find out floor it till it swings a leg out of bed!!! Then back off 10% to be safe!!! A manual RB25 can take 300rwkw and still be reliable. A NEO will - superior head - do a bit more. Having said that I have now very likely angered the gods and mine will stop suddenly sometime soon. -
I honestly have no idea, but how much can they charge for a bath mat??? At least yours should be easy to post out, not like our two man tents. I have asked and will inform when I get the answer, but all I can do for now!!!
-
Ok, so two like that now......cool.
-
Thats just the killer wasps!!! Thankfully mine doesn't make that sound......when I did it I just ordered a kit for the water pump, idler, tensioner, and belt. Belt that came was a Gates........I didn't think about it, but prob should have requested OEM.

Ok not much of an update, Import Monster are still yet to get back to me with a price. They say that the Gtst ones are fine [but didn't offer any more info than that] but they are still waiting on ones for the GTR's. SCRMER - what model?....R34 GTR?
