Some progress on the dump pipe and intake pipes, hopefully the bonnet closes with return flow intercooler pipes. Had an adaptor plate made for the air reg, had to use a spacer to allow room between the dump pipe and wastegate.
I had 18x 9.5 +30 with rolled guards and had to go 245's all around so i'm guessing + 15 will need some camber adjustments and similar tyre width, GTR spec is 18 x 9.0 +30 which is like the bar as far as a good snug fitment.. beyond that means skinny tyres id say.. but i havnt explored it like the guys on the wheel/tyre thread, the +38 can be done though with 265's as far as ive seen and 10inch wide ..
Progress is slow, been repairing a hail damaged saab the old man bought. Bloody cars take up alot of time, i picked up some pipes today , these are for the dump, gate and intake. Just need to learn how to weld or bribe the old man to do it..
It looks straight forward enough and these bends should be pretty close so we'll see how it goes. Atleast this way im learning how to do shit instead of just paying people.
Im considering adding the 3 1/2 inch xforce muffler straight after the cat to have a true 3 1/2 inch system as the hks system has a section of 3inch but obviously it will still make the power goal with 3inch system but the noise factor is unknown without a middle muffler atleast.
Yer, next couple of months i hope, i probably need some kind of front brKe lock, then ill do some 2nd gear action at drags and smoke some knobs out haha..
Dont these neo guys rev out higher than r33's, ive seen them go well over 7k which type b's would be in the zone. I got some for the 2530neo so hopefully they'll aid the flow
Slow progress, waiting for the fabricator to make up an adaptor plate so i can bolt the idle air control thing to the top plenum. It should mean that i can run the neo stuff without any issue..
Have installed all the belts and radiator and decided to try and do the intercooler piping myself. My old man bought a tig welder and has offered to help with welding so this will either be a flop or work well, wont hurt to try for the little cost. I went and picked up some 2.5inch stainless pipes 316grade so we can attempt home job fabrication lol.
bloody good looking beast mate, tip of the cap dont park the evo next to that beast ... or you just might wanna put it for sale .. serious.. R34 GTR FTW..
Would probably work good enough, just cause its not a GTX doesnt mean its shit... i've seen a HKS2540 on a RB25, which everyone says is shit, but it felt similar to my GT3076, alot is to do with the whole setup too, suspension etc..
she's already bolted on, didn't think about checking them, guess we'll find out if she's leaking when it runs....i'll take some pics of the collector though and report back ..
