  1. Winter is the time I actually do more speed off the streets and drive it a bit harder. Less likely to overheat or anything related to heat.
  2. Was sick of getting wet on the the motorcycle so i sourced out another MAP sensor while i wait for Vipec to send me another. Car ran well no cut at start the start of building boost. It all went well for two days. Then Friday night coming from the meet, the car decided to die on me. its cranked and cranked but didnt start.Checked fuel and spark no problems, surely one wouldnt loose compression that fast. Thanks to the legendary mates I had we managed to push the car out from the road into a bush so no f%krs would do anything to it, drove to pick up a car trailer and towed the car back home. Now its to find a MAP sensor. Although it hasnt been hot lately seems like my pleenum gets over 105degrees which then breaks the sensors. The sensor is mounted on the plenum where ive taped a 1/8npt hole for it. Whats weird is that the IAT sensor has never gone over 83 degrees on a very hot day.So im on the search for a sensor with a wider range of operation. An alternative is to use barb fitting with a vacuum line that goes to the sensor to minimize the heat at the sensor.
  3. thanks Paul anymore else out there? Atleast its not impossible to do.
  4. to the people using Nismo pumps whats the maximum possible kws I have a 4.6l/min. Using the matchbot seem like ill have just enough to get 380kws but that might be a theoretical, when the pumps realistically flow more.
  5. Wow that's pretty bad for an imprezza AWD. Thoughts go to his family
  6. at compliance they stuck a mirror on top of the old one. you cant really see it till you look closely
  7. Ive always kept an RB30 just incase one day the engine decides to let go. It could be something less serious do a leak down test, might even be your valves not sealing right. all the best
  8. hmm i hope kyle ups his customer service coz he's loosing from that.Anyway back on topic. would be interesting to see what the 6262 can do. Is it twin scroll. Still waiting on Dave's setup but, a brother has to pay his rent before messing with the car.
  9. saw the white 34 its Houn. Didnt see a yello one however.
  10. 8/6 aswell had a friend driving mine "he owns a GTT aswell and reckons theyre smooth
  11. ohhh I almost dropped a few tears of frustration it was probably cause I did it by myself on the ground but when a mate came over it was a better experience. Learnt a lesson that ill hire a hoist next time I do it.
  12. Updating this thread for whoever might have the same problem. Hooked up a multimeter to all my sensors becasue it seems like a temperature related cut happening when the engine gets slightly warm. I found out that it was the MAP sensor, as soon as the boost starts building the voltage reading goes to zero. Looked at the temperature rating for the sensor and seems like it might have gotten too hot on the intake plenum and buggered it since it ranges from -20C to 105C. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Pressure-sensor-Kit-3-5-bar-0-50-psi-MAP-oil-water-nitrous-/331004859478?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4d116d5456&_uhb=1
  13. could sound stupid but is it 100% the right seal or going in the right side. Try some soap and hot water i guess.
  14. It's been stated from the start to drill the block aswell. Ok they didn't use drill but they said enlarge the holes on the head and block to match. It's like porting them.
  15. Yeah it does come down to the driver and what they feel comfortable with too. Sometimes it's all psychological. They did do a blind test on some magazine I can't remember and the results were good could have been the magizine fudging the results too.
  16. Get Michelin Pilot Sport 3. I can still enjoy my car in the wet. Your 100% right Federals suck when wet or maybe go on the thread "What tyres youve used and how you rate them" . Dont cheap out for the fronts though because you wont change them as often unless if you dont have a staggered setup meaning you can rotate all four.
  17. How much torque aswell looked like it wanted to leave the dyno.
  18. That would be interesting to see how the traction is.
  19. Hmm I think he must be chasing big power soon lol. I have a 280lph Nismo and it's good for 400kws on E85. You are going for more power right even after talking of the PT7675
  20. So can I just delete the lower bit. Thought it's mixing them for some reason
  21. the guy who owned that worked at Tyrepower tuggers wonder what happened?
  22. anyone know what this part does. My fitting on the fuel tank lid snapped off and im looking into putting a fitting but its not just that simple because im not sure what the part at the bottom does.
  23. United decided to roll out E85 pumps in Canberra, so was super excited and filled the car up with it. Driving out to the Friday meet the smell of E85 was stronger than usual, but i just thought it because of the higher content. Got to the meet and when i was parking my mates told me to cut the engine straight away. Had a big trail of fuel flowing me due to a leak. Somehow managed to leak through the middle fitting on the fuel lid. Could have been nicked when i was loading things into the boot. so now im thinking of this putting AN fittings but will probably lose this part that goes underneath not sure what its function is? Will be trying it out on a donor piece which also had the fitting snapped off seems like a common problem to happen.
