Lol. That is one confused car. I reckon it's a 7 shell. No alloy roof. It's funny this situation because 2 of my mates had an s14 and the other an s15. The s14 guy went to a evo 7 The s15 guy went to a evo 8mr Both beat their times at South cct with mild setups ie coilovers and tyres.

If they both have the same level of power it'll be the evo. 40k is a huge budget. You can make anything quicker with 20-30k to spend on a car.

Evo 5 6 7 8 9 same brakes. You can pick up a set of evo 5 calipers for dirt cheap. Whether it would be more cost effective is something you'll have to decide.
