  2. Come with aftermarket ecu. That said, you are definitely trying to do to much at once. Engine swap/engine rebuild and tuning with 0 prior experience and what sounds like not much knowledge. I would be instead of asking these questions, learn taking out an engine on a dummy car, take it apart, put it back together, put it back in the car and see if it works. Otherwise you risk screwing up a potential project because of a simple mistake, unless you have a friend that knows what there doing that can guide you through the process.
  3. Try see if you can get another turbo to test. Because it certainly looks like the turbo's fault from all your tests.
  4. Just got word, my retune @20 pound got 417hp atw with the SS2 on e85 Up from 370hp atw with previous 16 pound tune (Hub dyno) Will get the graph up later today.

  6. Ok so it was 2 problems The Gizmo Diagram was wrong. Swapped around the lines. Copied my brothers setup, ( different ebc but still mac ) But didnt raise boost, but gate was opening now. Traced wiring, and the solenoid pins going into the Controller where pushed out of the plug hah... So all working now. 20 psi tune tomorrow ftw
  7. He needs to learn a bit more about turbo cars i think. You cant just up the boost and expect it to last/run ok. A car needs a Tuner to tune it, not a but dyno on the freeway.
  8. I will try that after work, will hook up as if it was a standard IWG. If that works, i may just leave it like that for now.
  9. Which is what i have done. Blocked off the unused ports, i only have 1 line in the lower, and 1 line in the upper. If i do have it plumbed in correctly, ( which i believe i do ), if for some reason my EBC is not working, would that cause no pressure to get to the wastegate therefore making the gate never open? If that is how this routing works, seems like a bad point of failure if your ebc loses power/stops working Im hoping i understand this wrong.

  11. So i have a Tial MVR external wastegate and a Gizmo ebc ( first edition) 4 memory I was running gate spring pressure @ 16 pound fine. I now tried to hook my EBC up like below Blocked off the remaining air ports on the wastegate, 2 bottom, 1 top there is total 3 bottom 2 top. Problem is, when hooked up this way, with the controller set to 0 or even the mac solenoid unplugged I boost to possibly over 24 psi 2 questions. 1. Is this correct? 2. If your ebc stops working, do you overboost?

  14. Is it consistent misfire? Or erractic? Have you checked the injector pulse and coilpack fire is correct? Injector pulse is ground triggered i beleive, so you will need to connect the trigger to 12v.
  15. Get your injectors tested I had same issue, if its a constant misfire, if it feels like its running on 5 cyls or something like that but cant locate the culprit. Had mine cleaned and they were blocked as all shit. Car would idle fine, but as soon as you put any load on it it felt like it was running on a constant 5 cyls My fuel pressure was also up in the 60s when they were blocked. I also initially had my rails plugged in the wrong way, but everywhere i see says it shouldnt matter and wont affect anything.

  17. What about cams themselves. Did you/are you going to get some that retain VCT? I heard Tomie have 1 that does.but ive never found it.

  22. I remember when your 6th piston didnt like the world and overheated. quick question, are you still running the gktech clutch Fan? Because ive heard nothing but problems with that fan on Neo engines, Stock is better.
  23. As guessed the VR38 is pretty much the same as a VQ. Nice find on that forum thread Kinda kicks all the nay sayers in the balls This is what he had, an RB, and he wants faster, so.....VR38 can prob do that in such a light car His fastest time of 7.4 seconds is quick as fck, maybe see if u can get in contact with him.
