  1. Hi guys up for grabs is my grandfathers 2003 SR5 Hilux. Hes the 2nd owner of the vehicle since new. He has owned it since it had 60K on the clock. It has 12 months rego, sunroof, all power options, tyres are few 1000km old, rear diff was recently rebuilt (didnt need it it turns out), has had injector service recently also. Fully optioned up with genuine toyota side steps bull bar tow bar etc. Car has been very well maintained all its life and has never been bush bashed. As you can tell by the condition of the paint and body. It has made a few trips down south with a caravan. But literally only a handful of time. So its had a very easy life! Interior is immaculate and paint is in fantastic condition for a 15yo vehicle. Reason for sale is my grandparents are nearly 80 now and want to downsize to automatic econobox style of car as this is too much truck for them. $14K ono Car is located in Londonderry Contact Mick 0423089277 to check it out.
  2. You'd wanna be pulling mid 140s to back up 740hp ? Gunna repeat myself here... But the 8374 is a BEAST of a snail! Driven 3 8374 cars ranging from 2.8L - 3.2L and it really makes my tip drip! ?
  3. Heres 2 reasons not to run the 2000's these came outta my evo after around 10k km's. Car was bucking and surging and carrying on E85 of course.
  4. There HAS to be something wrong with your setup. An 11lb smaller turbo with a lighter turbine with T/S manifold should feel worlds apart. ?
  5. Haha good man! ? The added expense now will save you later on mate. ?
  6. Spend the $$$ now mate and save yourself the grief of having issues on the dyno. That way you aren't paying your tuner to troubleshoot problems and you reduce your chance of starving your engine of fuel and hurting it. Which is cheaper in the long run because lets face it you're putting alot of extra load on an alternator thats almost 3 decades old. So why put off the inevitable now and potentially risk your motor?
  7. Every result posted has shown otherwise? Putting GTX compressor wheels into compressor housings they weren't designed to be in, along with turbines that dont have the flow to generate the revs needed for the extra boost required for a GTX wheel to "do its thing" will be much better will it? Be happy to be proven wrong but history will repeat itself.
  8. Good advice! ^^^ Also upgrade your alternator so it has enough beans to power them also!
  9. I heard rumours of 3 speed column shift auto... Hes just been trying to find a nice P R N D 2 1 Display ?
  10. Paul has the data on his 8374 setup and it shows that he was out of turbine with the 1.05 A/R.. Around the 52psi zone from memory... So going up in compressor size when you have exposed the limit of the turbine already really is flogging a dead horse in my opinion. Time to go up a turbine size and enjoy some more torque and a few more ponies! THEN if you feel like you want more you'll have the manifold and gate setup that will get the most out of the 9180 compressor ?
  11. Sounds like you are pretty much on the money mate. Yes you are also right that the flex sensor will become a restriction on the return line. The answer to that is simple just run a bypass. So a tee either side of the flex sensor as the sensor itself requires bugger all flow to read the content levels. Also dont forget to upgrade your tank breather line on your fuel hat! Run with something big like a -12 as now you're gunna have 3× 460 pumps trying to suck the tank inside out. Often over looked but as soon as that tank starts coming into "vacuum" you will start to have fuel supply issues. So keep your tank at atmosperic pressure and those 3 pumps will be able to drink all they need ?
  12. Are you willing to go balls deep with custom manifolds, head work and piping etc Birdy? Even then still realize you are talking about a potential 1100hp setup so its going to be laggy lol
