  1. Update for those interested. Physio is very concerned. Thorasic spine mainly T6, T7, T8 but also intervertebral joints are causing issues, which I didn't have last time. Also my right side is playing up but nowhere near as painful as left. (Left is injured side from last time) Rib pain is referred pain mainly from T7 and T8. Physio remarked she has never worked on someone so stiff before. Next week I need to take Nurofen before going because the facet joints are so stiff; it's very painful (and I'm not a wuss) and she's not working me hard enough to loosen things up very much. Trying to work out why thorasic is damaged is her priority at the moment. Lumbar spine is very flexible so it's concerning that thorasic is so stiff/painful. My left rotation is basically half of what it should be. She wants to me to take up my weights again from Monday and wants to see if I'm more/less stiff next week. She's trying to work out if weights are hindering the problem; I've never been to a physio before weight training and I've been exercising for a long time. I don't want to give up weights but I don't want to go down the surgery path just yet either.
  2. Boz I got some bands off e bay, they were very cheap but are awesome, exactly the same as the ones I used at PTC
  3. Welcome
  4. was it me?
  5. I saw a strength coach yesterday and he told me with deadlifts to think about 'pushing the floor away'
  6. I'm sorry, I know I've been really negative about gym and I've frustrated you. I will change my attitude and be more positive and accepting of my progress
  7. 12th August is not recent weeks but yes there are gains there because you're a good trainer
  8. Progress is going backwards either. I don't know where you've got those dates and exercises from. 47.5kg bench press has only been achieved once for me on the 12/8. You have put 30/10 in your above post, which is totally incorrect. I didn't even train on the 30/10 as my training logs are all in my phone.
  9. 12th August was 47.5kg bench press. I havent been close to that in months. Dont know where you've got 30th October from
  10. and where you get 30/10/13 from? I didnt even train on that day.
  11. Huh? I haven't done 47.5kg bench in months
  12. You've chosen a date where I was actually making some progress. Compare the first date to my last sessions and you will understand what I'm talking about.
  13. grats Nick, awesome squat
  14. it's all good
  15. Nope, had the same goals for 11 months and no closer to achieving them
  16. Thanks for your comments. I did some research last night and I don't think there is anything wrong with behind the head press. However due to my injury I may be better off to perform in front of the head shoulder press. I still get pain from my injury, sleeping on that side is still a no go and I do get some lower back pain when pressing 25kg. The only thing I'm worried about is that my trainer is not here to show me how to do it correctly whereas I know how to do behind the head with correct form. I guess I can play around with it and see which feels best for me.
  17. Rev, wouldn't in front shoulder press just be replicating the bench press movement which I already do? The reason Birds gave me behind the neck shoulder press is because I want to develop my delts.
  18. Come visit me more often then jerk
  19. yeah my right knee caves in as I'm coming up from the squat It's causing a hamstring strain too weak adductors apparently
  20. Birds is the one who taught me everything, are you saying he taught me wrong technique? Okay I book physio next week.
  21. Oh I see. I don't get sore from squats anymore because I cant go heavy cos of knee bending in
  22. Why is squatting easier when done 3x a week?
