  1. That'll soon be 3 Terry Was a really good night, learnt quite a few things and that Heasman's do more than "just suspension" work. Big kudos to Ricky for organising it to the guys at Heasman's for making it happen
  2. Forgot to put this in my original post, picture of the goods.
  3. Thanks for the info. I might ask if they can switch out the rivets for bolts.
  4. Hi All, Thought I'd offer this through as a group buy option so see if anyone else is interested in a set of these. These will fit V-Spec and V-Spec IIs and replace the factory, rusty ones that are present on our cars. They don't come painted, though I don't think it'd be difficult to do locally. These are on offer from Anday @ RB Motorsport in the UK, the only people I've been able to find who have this type of kit. Original Cost: £305 + shipping (which is quoted £120 for shipping) which is ~$900 AUD. Group Buy Discount: 15% and cheaper shipping due to bulk (and possible GST hit depending on how many are ordered). We need a minimum or 3 to get the group buy. Group buy price for 3 including shipping to my location in Sydney, NSW (so may be additional cost to ship within Australia) is £333 (approx $570 AUD) plus any import duty/taxes/etc. Package Info from Andy: One of the brackets is 1.1m long and the whole package weighs 3.7 kg. We would require around 8 for sea shipping to be cheaper (I think).
  5. Anyone able to look up this VIN please? BNR34-403495
  6. If I'm able to bum a lift off someone to get home (strathfield way) I can be a confirmed. Car might be going to JLM this week and may not get it back until Saturday.
  7. After a set of stainless steel brackets to replace the rusting ones on my R34 GTR. Must be compatible with a VSpec II. If already painted, that's an added benefit.
  8. I've got my popcorn...
  9. Would you have any idea how these be with a carbon bonnet?
  10. That's a pretty massive gap on the LHS. A lot of it does seem unusual and when you get a few, the warning bells start lighting up - definitely have never seen a two-tone wrap like that on a Skyline before. Not to mention usually with non-genuine Z tune bonnets you got issues with water getting into the engine bay (I've read/heard, no first hand experience) so questions on all the electrics, etc under there. Interesting there are no engine bay shots. As for the 2nd car - can only guess it's a bonnet and badged GTR - I don't see any A-LSD light on it's cluster.
  11. I thought R grade cars were illegal to register too. If you can match the VIN to the "car for sale" I'm sure you could either pick up a very nice, cheap track car or speak to the tribunals...
  12. Wow - very lucky. Glad to hear you got it back though. I would also +1 - get it compression, leakdown tested and driven by some knowledgeable mechanics. Would be better to outlay a few $100s in tests to know the health of your car and how it's been mistreated.
  13. Sourced one, thanks people
  14. forgot I still had this around in my garage. $300.
  15. After one of of these puppies, new or used - if used, must be rebuildable. PM offers/etc.
  16. Terry will have his hazards on, so it's kosher
  17. Turbo would be back to Yavuz Don't quite have the funds for manifold, turbo, gaskets, dump pipe, intake pipe, tune, labour to remove twins and to top if off, wrath of the girlfriend for having the car in the workshop yet again. I'm surprised this night hasn't filled up yet. I know the JEM one filled pretty quickly.
  18. My car will be cross that threshold next week...time for a service (and maybe other things ), will see. I'll report back on the driveway
  19. Have they fixed the driveway yet Terry? Last time I spoke to Adam and Todd they were going to fix it up (it is/was pretty mental).
  20. I can't imagine there being a significant cost for firmware updates, if any - but don't quote me on that Also good to get Paul's input on that, since he's done the multi-hop and helps ease my own minor concerns I had about going the Black Box. Full speed ahead! (and saving money to go fuel flex...).
  21. ^^^ I was waiting for Paul to chirp in on this one
  22. I'm currently running one but haven't had it for long so I can't say too much about. Fits standard 34 case with minor mods and the only thing I've noticed (so far) coming from an Apexi PowerFC is it does take a few more cranks to start. Otherwise the driveability feels better due to the better sized maps and customisation for idle, cruise, etc - but I guess that's with most newer ECUs with larger maps. The ECUs are getting some traction now but are still a bit of a WIP, as you would expect - Yavuz and Mark are already on it relaying feedback back so I'll be expecting firmware updates. Reason I went with a Black Box was I'm planning to go fuel flex (not eFlex) in the future, so it made sense to do it at the time. Yavuz never pushed me to ditch the Apexi while he was doing other work on the car, the discussion came about when I mentioned my plans for fuel flex and previous cars he's worked on which were running G4s.
  23. Epic truck. The GTR is ok too
