amazing customer service ??? he neglected to mention to me about drilling out the stock oil restrictor in the block. so the turbo wasnt getting enuff oil and f**ked the seal's. subsequently needing a $400 rebuild that i had to pay..... he even admitted he forgot to tell me about drilling the restrictor out.... yeah thats amazing customer service. he was quick to email you back THATS about it

Our last communication was on the 12/10/2012 which you inquired about a rear housing for a 2nd hand turbocharger we've built for some thing else in 2009. I've never forgotten or admitted "forgetting" on given any information inquired. Even if I did forget initially, I would never mention about a drilling a "oil restrictor in the block" after. I don't recall any communications after that date, but let me know if you want to get it repaired.

I made majority of RB customers buying the oil line with the turbocharger. Which the speed flow fitting that comes with the oil line replaces the restrictive benjo bolt that is on top of the turbocharger. There is no oil restrictor on the actual engine block or the benjo bolt goes on to the engine block.

Not sure but it will be in town soon. Looks pretty tidy

Is this car in Townsville at the moment because I am almost positive I drove past one last night as I'm up here. Saw GTR badge at front and had LED 34 tails. Was also black.

i think i saw the same car the other day in Townsville as i did that night, black R34 GTR VSPEC II with gold varrstoen's (had no volk sticker so doubt genuine).

looked mint.

All the excitement is building up, not long now till Brisbane Jamboree. We are really looking forward to this years event, apparently there some other competitors coming to specifically to stop us from getting the next world record, I won't name names but I am looking forward to some good competition. The engine has just gone though another lot of upgrades and the chassis has had more weight taken out. Not a great deal of weight but every kilo counts. Engine HP has been increased a great deal and the clutch specially modified by Doug at NPC to give us more bite in the top end to get the MPH up. Our top end MPH is where we are losing ground need more grunt and the clutch was slipping up top costing us big time. If the gearbox can handle the punishment we are estimating a very low 8 sec pass and possibly a 7sec pass on the street radial tyres. This is what we are hoping for ....fingers crossed drag racing can be brutal. Would love to share the new upgrades list but with all these other fast GTR's coming out of the wood work getting closer to our time's, it's time to keep something's to ourselves ;) .

    • Is the panel filter one that is oiled? Have you ever cleaned or touched the AFM?
    • So.... the K&N air box thingo was too big, ended up gifting it to a mate, well, by gifting it he actually supplied food and beer at the pub,  which was nice, as it will not sit on a shelf in the garage for the next 10 years I did trim up some of the existing stuff to neaten it all up and gave it some wrinkle paint, unfortunately it currently has a used and abused mish mash of different types of hose clamps, 4 big fat T bolt type (shit), and a few normal clamps of vairing sizes and brands, but..... only until the 6 constant tension black worm clamps that I ordered from EFI solutions turn up next week Currently the current hose clamps are triggering me hard, LOL Is this the final version, probably not, I really want just 2 silicone pieces, a straight bit of silicone from the filter to the MAF is easy and will happen as soon as I head into Just Jap tomorrow, the problematic part is a 30° silicone bend from the MAF to the TB that I can connect the engine breather from the head, I found that there are bulk head fittings for boat bilge pumps that should work, but until I can get a 30° silicone bend the alloy pipe, and the 11ty thousand hose clamps, are there for the foreseeable future 4 hose clamps are golden, 6 are grudgingly acceptable, the 8 currently holding it all together is just taking the piss    I've also ordered 60 more retaining wall blocks for the front yard, I mis-gonculated the height that was required to get above the base of the Photinia's (red robin's) that are the hedge behind the front fence, currently it is 2 blocks high, and about 1/2 a block short, so going 3 blocks high will be above the base of the red robin's, and allow some room for mulch
    • It is the stock air box with the panel filter. Everything else is stock except the exhaust at this point, as I also went back to the cleaned 270cc injectors. I will check the RPM when the IACV is unplugged and report back.
    • As MBS suggested if this is happening when the engine is cold you're going to want to remove the intake air regulator and verify resistance + that the shutter is physically opening and closing. At -20C should be fully open, 20C half open, over 60C fully closed. At 20C should be 70-80 ohms. For AAC valve testing using a Consult cable see if you can raise and lower the idle by commanding more or less AAC duty cycle. Hopefully it's pretty linear as well, shouldn't be like 30% AAC valve is barely idling and 40% is 1500 rpm.
