Well I finally dyno tuned the evo last night @ RE Customs - Mods are additional boost, APC Exhaust and Ralliart filter.

Final result - 229.1awkw - I'm VERY happy with how it turned out to say the least. Mixtures are nice and rich (11.5ish:1), and it pulls like a freight train through every gear.

I tuned it myself using a combination of ECUFlash, EVOScan and Dataloglab (fairly cheap tools)

Best part - I ran my car there when it was standard, and it made 147awkw - so it's picked up 82awkw over stock.

After finishing the dyno tuning, I ran 4 4th gear pulls back to back and they were all within 1-2kw of each other, with no signs of the engine starting to pull timing.

I've got to say - a BIG thanks to Ray from RE Customs for use of the dyno (and operating it) whilst I was tuning - he's a top bloke, and as everyone else has said, I'd definitely recommend him!

Cheers,

matt

Top work Matt!

I was sceptical at first - but so amazed at how quickly you could change things on my car. I think the case-of-beer and some dyno time needs to certainly slide in before 12th May...

No probs - I'm going to be down there next week tuning my brothers car too. Maybe do yours at the same time if you're not busy?

Fantastic work mate!

Looking forward to upping the boost a bit now on mine :P

It pulls very nicely through to 7K and exhaust smells richer after the remap too. Idle is fine and as is all the other bits. Good job Lowthy :P

Nice work Matt. Makes me feel underwhelmed by my 320rwkw@14psi in the GTR33.

Jokes aside though, I'm looking forward to doing the DIY thing on the GTR and the GTS25t with 26/30. Such a sense of satisfaction, now get rid of it and go Nissan..... you know it's the only way to credibility.

BTW Vic members, my new fridge has 200hp, more than most 20's ....... even more than GOLGO too I expect. :(

That's an awsome result, I have no idea what you tuned it with, sounds like software.... any hardware there? DIY rocks!

I haven't tuned a car for years, last time was on an unfamiliar dyno on a VL turbo with a Gas Research system that you can tune with a vice and a metal file!

    • Don't even try to run it on the stock ECU if you're going to have the boost controller bring boost above ~10 psi. I've already told you that. If you use the Nistune ECU, you will need to CAREFULLY read the available documentation for Neo tuning, and read some threads on the Nistune forums, to discover the various things you have to do to prevent the ECU from going bananas when the boost is too high. The is a table associated with th boost sensor that must be modified to prevent it from shitting the bed. This is just one of the things that you will need to do to the tune in Nistune, because the Neo turbo ECU will be expecting to see a number of things (such as the TCS) that are not there, and you have to block the DTCs on those. It is totally not surprising to me that you are having the problems that you are, but the solutions to these problems have been known for >15 years. So just get it done.
    • Hi. Sry iam not a mechanic and iam not at the car atm so i dont know 100% but they told they measure those and even try to change those. AFM they have two. Coils are new a they have my old one too. Plugs too. ECU...we have 25 NEO stock and Nistune 25 NEO.   But i dont know if any one those could be the problem and why/if/what can cause this, Only thing they did not check is fuel...but that walbro 255 is new(like 1,5 years)... That fuel pressure gauge idk...but i let them know Any suggestions?   EDIT: how can they know if it is like you say he ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high? Tha car has boost controler
