not sure if I will post any pics of the GTST. as actually I'm trying to buy it. lol. but yeah, it's a nice car. has engine conversion, seam welded body etc etc etc. all the good gear. :)

ok, AE86 drift meeting at Fuji Speedway. This was a great day. 3 D1 drivers in attendence meant a high level of drifting. My friend Tomo also took out a prize on the day :(

This is part of the original fuji speedway circuit. the 30 degree banking. It's hard to capture on film just how steep it is. you can barely climb up it. and spectators used to watch from the top. many people were killed. :( but damn it would have been awesome to race on.

it's the other way 'round. no squish pad = no detonation problem (at a small cost of response). the 26 head is a tad detonation prone. the squish pads aid response (NFI how though). removing them costs some response, but enables more boost and more punishment before detonation occurs. any serious race head I have seen in aus and japan has them removed on both sides. being the half arse racer I am mine will just have one side removed as I didn't want to pay out too much response. >_<

By some chance do you have this in a higher resolution, its dying for my background picture but doesnt look fantastic streched >_<

pm me your email address and I will send you a bigger one.

arrha..more boost less det; cant wait to read the full spec mate. As alway, nice pics BB >_<

yep that's the plan. like the tatoo on my left butt cheek reads: "1 bar boost is for women and children". I will be running 1.5bar+ with this set-up. :P

Beer Baron this is the best thread on SAU history. My opinion. I must go with you one day. You lucky lucky.

Get me a GT500 350Z rear wing please. Could not see any Z32's? What is the matter with Nismo??

ok, well I would be loading more pics today as it's a quiet day at work, except that I can farken find my HD :D so if anyone has seen a silver lacie/porsche portable HD then return it to me so I can upload!

    • Hope you aren't too sore after that one, might take a day or 2 to notice yet and I guess it is a loooooong drive home. On the bright side, tube frame front end is a thing at superlap, right?

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
    • Yeah dunno why johhny posted that here with no context, just post on FB/insta bro where he put it up?  Laine had an off at T4 during Thurs prac, he's ok, car is less than perfect, they are done for the weekend, he can fill in the rest. Bando also binned it like 100m up the road.
    • I feel there must have been a FB/insta post and the weekend did not start well at all I hope everyone is all okay
