Fuel Pump In R33

Recommended Posts

I'd get a nismo, cause I did.

The nismo pump actually fits BETTER than the factory pump, and comes with its own bracket etc. I'd also order it from greenline because its $320 from there, and Nengun stuffed me around, taking 6-8 weeks to get it to me.

f**k that. Thats too long of a wait.

Where did you get your Tomei for $340 inc delivery? Nengun is $370 at the moment.

From all the threads ive read, Nismo and Tomei are on par with each other. Can anyone name a reason why one is more preferable than the other?

Sorry mate,

Just re-read this thread and noticed you asked ages ago and i didn't reply.

But as already stated, i got it from greenline too. Delivered in about 1 week !!!! Awesome!

They were close to $50 cheaper delivered than nengun....the $340 was including delivery.

.... and the Tomei also comes with the full bracket etc...

Go to the DIY section and someone had the "easiest fuel pump upgrade ever" thread or something liek that.

It's not mine but i posted heaps of pics in there of mine so check it out.

But if you can get a Nismo for $320 delivered.get that !

Damn that's getting really cheap.

Also :

(From Nengun)

http://www.nengun.com/nismo/fuel-pump-skyline

Nismo is 4.6L/min

http://www.nengun.com/tomei/fuel-pump-nissan-skyline-r33-gtr

Tomei is 276 L/hour

4.6 x 60mins = 276 L so they are the same rating when comparing the GTR items

They are currently $370ish delivered from nengun and when i ordered mine they where about $400 so it's come down nearly $30 with the dollar increase.

Greenline might have em for about $310 delivered now !! Cool !

Flick em an email and see what they say.

and let us now the price son!

Good luck :w00t:

Nengun hae the fancy website with less than fancy service but you do get your stuff.

Greenline's site is still good, just not as fancy.

They have the same stuff and i think it's only email based, well from my experience it is.

They reply either same day or next with a quote breaking down the cost of item/deilvery.

Deposit money into their account, they'll confirm it.

Both sites are good in my opinion. (if prepared to wait)

I check prices on both for any item i wanna get and go with the cheapest,

And it always depends on the item on who is cheaper,

Fuel Pumps - definately Greenline by about $40-$50

EBC - about the same from memory but i got mine from Nengun

Z32 AFM - Nengun was cheaper by about $50 so got it thru them, took about 6 weeks though

AFM was thru nengun and as advertised on their site.

For some reason it's thru the Tomie AFM Z32 and you recieve a Genuine Nissan one.

It was $349 i think delivered which is about $40 more than what you can get in Aus thru the traders...but...I've been burnt on 1 dodge AFM and I'm not wasting another $300 on another...plus the money wasted on a tune which you can't get back.

So the extra cash was a fair trade off IMO

Yeah Im taking my time too. But mainly due to turbo issues. Looks like I have to take it off again and get it reworked!

Sucks when you have to take the car off the road for a week. ,..

Hope yours goes well tomorrow. Keep us updated!

I am getting the impression there is NIL difference between the Nismo and the Tomei, except for the name!

And they both have very reputable names so i'd just go the cheapest..which i did.

Also, i've seen pics of both on the net and they look identaical although that's not confirmed.

Bracket and assembly and pump all look the same.

..and the pump is completely surrounded in black plastic so you can't see any part numbers even if you wanted to

Either way, they are both gunna be fantastic, pic whatever takes your fancy and you'll be sweet as pie.

Like warm apple pie .. haha

Are these Tomei/Nismo pumps good for 400rwkw?

Two choices between in the tomei/nismo fuel varients, one is 248lph the other is 276lph

Is that good enough for 400 rwkws? only benefit is the fact is direct bolt in replacement no ffffing around to fit

Cheers

A

    • This morning I carefully reinstalled the manifold and started looking at a couple of things I need to do.  Heat wrap arrived sometime today so I popped into the shed with the missus dishwashing gloves and started wrapping the first half of the dump and the screamer/plumb back.  Once I do the second half I'll be able to final fit the turbo and exhaust up.  Also pulled the harness out today and started terminating it at the ECU end. A connector is done, just need to run the remaining wires that arent in the harness - 12v, gnd and couple I/O
    • A31 is pretty much the same thing without HiAIDS I mean CAS, no improvement lol. Not to late to send it.
    • Thanks for all the replies! I also wanted to ask if wheels that were fitted on Ford Falcons would fit the 350GTs as well? In the area I'm at there aren't that many options for secondhand wheels and new ones here are way out of my budget. From what I've seen, most of the wheels that are available that were fitted on Ford Falcons have an offset of +33 to +36, with a centre bore of 70.5mm whereas the stock 350GT's ones are 66mm, can't seem to find any hubcentric rings that fit that difference though.
    • 215/45/18 tyres are probably a little on the low side compared to the factory tyre, it should be closer to a 245/45/19, which will get you about an extra 11mm of height, and should make you speedo read a bit closer to reality. 245/45/19s will be a bit too far the other way and you risk a speeding ticket as your speedo might read slower than your actual speed.  245/40/19s would be correct if you are going to 19in rims, they will give you a similar total diameter to the 245/45/18 tyres.
    • That's something I forgot to put in my list. The aggressive anti-squat in R32 is a f**king menace. I still need to decide if I'm going to drag the subframe out of my car and weld in the GKTech corrector kit. The main reason to dither is the need to switch to spherical joints in the lower arm to account for the twist induced in the rear pivot caused by lowering the front pivot. And yes...we do put better subframes in R32s, and I wish I'd gotten an S14 one instead of an A31 when I did the "take off and nuke it from orbit" HICAS delete all those years ago.
