220 pounds is a good start...But if ( I hope ) they release an N1 version I would want to see a bit more weight than that out of it.Fully gutted...Carbon kevlar race buckets...Carbon panels, titanium exhaust etc

There is a heap of crap in them that isnt Necessary. They should make them the same way lotus make there cars.

lets not get started on lotus and how much their new concept car fails.

lotus eagle; the 4 seat mid engined car which is scheduled to be on show in 2009/10

However, if this at all gives an indication of what it will look like, i really am not impressed.

possible spy shots

yeah it needs to drop way more than 220 pounds

more like 500 if its going to match the GT3 for example blow for blow.

The GTR is a fat bastard at the moment.

Dude, the GT-R was quicker than the GT3 in the BM vid on youtube, could you imagine what would happen if it weighed the same as the GT3???

i reckon its just someones personal race special.

grille removed, rear bar removed, tow hook out of bonnet.....

interior stripped out, and light weight cage in.

I highly doubt it from the shots ive just seen...

Busy bees at Nissan motorsport...

looks hot.

Mate, a one lap dash around the Ring is one thing. There are massive straights there to allow the GTR to cool its brakes.. but The GTR was CLEARLY losing ground hand over fist to the Lambo for example in that 5 lap Tsukuba battle where there isnt enough road to give it time to cool off.

It needs to go on a diet, im pretty sure many will agree.

the numbers say quite a bit for me, weight wise...

That's bullshit, it took the Lambo 4 laps to catch up to the GT-R, and Id say it was more the tyres that were cooked and not the brakes...

I guess the 'standard' GT-R didn't do too bad against a 'tuned' Gallardo which had more power and less weight...

Maybe the V-Spec would give that Gallardo a run for its money....

yes they did! well, sort of. they had it out on the track the day before nismo festival, but I saw it in the pits on the day of nismo festival. I would say it's a test either for super taikyu series or some other production based series, hell maybe even a GTR 1 make series (doubt that though).

Mate,

I'd have to disagree with you here, i wouldn't take BMI into account for 100%, maybe 60% and that's about it but don't get me wrong, i love those guys at BMI and the things that they do.

How is this GTR different to the standard one, dropped, rims changed, exterior changed blah blah- we're only speculating it's performance.

I'm not going to repeat what everyone else said, but i'm only holding my breath for when Nissan say, "OK guys, here's the V-Spec"

Exhaust is significantly different as well. Not much else is known. It's probably not the V-Spec yeah but a lot of the lessons learnt will go into the V-Spec I'd say.

hey? Just the very mention that Tsuchiya would have staged a fight is beyond unforgivable!

Ban!!

    • Hi GTSBoy, Excuse my ignorance but what does a "Bad" Knee point mean ?
    • HFM BM57 has a "bad" knee point, IIRC. It's not the same thing as the later R chassis MC.
    • The ATTESSA is functionally identical to R34; there were a bunch of JDM models that continued ATTESSA including Fuga/Q70, Skyline/Q50, Cima etc as an option. All with Auto only and I think mostly for snow regions. AFAIK there were no AWD VR30DDTT sold in Australia - it is on my to do list to check regs for racing a LHD car in Targa/ATR/AASA/CAMS events because if I can get the auto to work it would be interesting to run a 4wd car The Ecuteck TCM tuning is the same model as their ECU tuning, they already have it for R35 and Dose's favourite, BMW. You buy "points" to allow your computer to be tuned, buy either a bluetooth (phone app) or bluetooth+USB+Key (phone and PC) dongle, and pay for a tune that will be locked to your tuner ( ). You can also access the tuning software yourself but 1. it is mega expensive and 2. these computers have a billion parameters that intersect, so how could you ever spend enough time on it to get a decent result.
