Red32? dont remember one of those?? was there anything that made it stand out? oh, you had the one with the nice doors!

I have some footage of mats, ill put it on youtube unless you have some webspace...

although he is watching atm, so he may be doing it already

Looks like you all had a great weekend.

I hate missing out on DECA..oh well next time..

Also great pics guys...

x2

i'm moving to WA for a year in Jan, but i'm going to come back over and take the cobwebs off my car and have a play with you guys again!! (if i'm allowed :w00t:)

Well I don't know where to start, maybe with the highlights!

- The Honeymoon suite, do i need to say anymore!

- Big Red is the most awesome car on the planet (Seriously!), soooo much fun to drive!:cheers:

- Having Rob, Mark & Sean at their first Deca! Thanks for coming up guys, i'm sure you will be back.

- Taco Bills and the hot sauce, possibly the worst experience of my entire life! And the culprit is still feeling very average about the whole 'incident'.

- Mav learning how to pole dance at the strippers on the main stage, best $40 we've ever spent and i've never laughed soo much!

- Handbags laughing so hard at Mav on the main stage at the stippers that he fell off his chair

- Vadg you are a legend! Thanks for being a good sport!

- The 8 hour mission home, Shepparton to Brighton (to drop Big Red off) to Eltham (to drop the trailer off) to Brighton (to drop the X5 off) to Malvern (Finally home). Such an exhausting day!

- Thanks to the officials for making that event happen, the conditions were terrible, sooo hot with so many flies, you guys did really well!

That's about it for now.

Looking forward to the next one! :w00t:

Thanks for inviting me Juzzy and organising everything else for us, had a ball, even though i dont think i successfully completed one driving task.

As for the hot sauce incident.... the guilty puppydog look on his face as if he was getting told off for shitting on the carpet when you were having words with him out the back of Taco Bills..... priceless.

Sorry you had to go though that agony for our entertainment. As for the naughty puggydog you are an evil evil person to pull a gag like that knowing how much trouble you were getting yourself into. I love it.

Thanks for everybody who gave their time over the weekend for us so we could just drive in and tear up. Cheers.

Rob

Hey can someone / anyone with video footage and skills please put together a battles only vid for me?

Do you want like a mixed together sorta of clip... with music and editing and stuff or just the raw footage?

Also do you want deca just gone only or clips from any deca...

I can probably have a bit of a play tonight....

Matt anything you want to put together is fine. Infact if you have something from past DECA's as well that would be super as the battles this time weren't regularly as close as some previous ones we have done.

And not necessarily of me / my car but of any good ones is what I am after.

i took my other one to Beaurepairs on Monday and it was $29 for them to fix

so will just take this one there tomorrow

they said about the first one that it was fairly close to the edge so keep an eye on it

this one, i couldnt see a nail sticking out but when i was changing it, i could hear it hissing

Also, out of interest, did anyone else end up with screws in their tyre? I woke up sunday morning to find 1 almost deflated front right tyre, and about 4 screws in my left rear tyre, which I know for a fact I got from the DECA facility. Rather disappointed that I now have one tyre which is pretty much fubar, and another that I will need to get repaired, damaged from screws floating around at DECA lol.

All the screws came from bigred's boot locking machanism - j/k

Results are still being processed. Sorry!

I havn't been home any night this week so far, and tonight is no different. I'll see what I can do.

    • It says 300ZX, does that make it an Aus delivered car? Funny how back in the day I just couldn't care less about Z32's and these days I am just in love with them. Back when Nissan was into pushing the envelope. 🤣
    • Hi guys, just after some guidance with an R34 sunroof that has stopped working correctly. It still opens and closes perfectly fine, but it no longer tilts/vents up or down. As a result, the rear of the glass now sags a bit as it drops down slightly in order to retract into the roof, but now it can't pop upwards into a flush position. I’ve probed the pins on the back of the switch connector with a multimeter and it seems like both switches (for open/close and tilt/vent) still work correctly. Any ideas on what it could be, or where I should even start in terms of diagnosing? I'm sure someone's had this issue before but I haven't been able to find anything online relating to this specific issue, most of the issues are with the seals leaking or the motor failing entirely. Thanks in advance!
    • Do you have some data like fuel pressure? It's really hard to say if you're still fighting a fuel system issue at this point. Could be something weird like the FPCM dipping out.
    • Yeah in that case, pulling the dent out. Event a very slight dent can create a lot of work filler-wise and there is a strong chance the panel won't be the factory shape when you are done (as the dent will result in a new high point created somewhere, then everything is brought up to that new high point... but the panel shouldn't be that high if that makes sense).  So you've filled and primed the panel and it is flat, why would you go back and remove the primer and add more filler?
    • Something else I have been faffing with while the car was off the road is making the AC work. Assuming the car isn't at a thermal limit the idea of having AC while waiting in line to go on track sounds delightful. I have actually been lugging around the weight of the entire system since 2018 when the RB25NEO went in without it working at all.  The main reason was in the first few events before I got around to re-gassing it the rubber hose that runs under the manifold had the factory heat wrap/sleeve fail resulting in this: ~2 years ago I purchased a complete used R32 AC line set but when I finally went to install it the line i needed was different where the expansion section is I found a local place that was able to replace the rubber section and re-crimp. They also added some modern heat sleeve to the hose Tight fit but fingers crossed this is the last physical piece of the puzzle needed
