Seems like the United at rozelle is still selling it.

I called the servo and from what i could understand (literally) from the attendant, its still available.

Looks like im up for a bit of a drive today lol

bought e85 from united roselle the other day.

road tuned it for epa today and passed.

comparing my results from last epa test on bp 98, e85 kills it

thc went from 1.65 to 0.05

nox went form 3.84 to 1.63

the others were about the same.

what sort of cat?

i could be wrong, but I do know that it cost Rozelle 40,000$ to setup their servo for E85. They got the contract with CSR in the city to supply fuel for their company flex cars.

Those other dodgy servo's may have not done this preperation like the United servo's do ? United also uses CSR sugar caine to make the ethanol which has been proven to be better then the other stuff available, not sure if its higher octane or not but I know the CSR stuff is the best stuff.

So yeah if united Rozelle are still selling then that would probly be why???

I should just go over there after work today and check this all out, once i downsize my turbo i will be going back to e85.

One of our time attack sponsors is a fuel distributor up here GT, They are looking in to it atm but if they dont come through I will look at ideas from there. I have been interested in this stuff for a couple of years and it pisses me that they grow it up here and ship it past us to you guys down south. :)

wait on the highway, flag down truck, pull pistol/shotgun/left hook, drive truck home. instant 10,000 litre stash. ;) just like ye olde stage coach robberies.

i am not spending anymore money on this car

I said the same thing about a year ago...

Then again about 6 months ago....

And again about 2 months ago....

Once more about a week ago....

*Just ordered $200 worth of braided lines :P *

I have been flat-out at work all week, so this is my first chance to post.

Now, my news might not trouble anyone outside of SA, but as of last Friday the Malaysian company Carotino, that owns Environmentally Friendly Fuels (ENFFUE) and the old South Australian Farmers Fuels (SAFF), has pulled the pin on the entire operation. This means that they (ENFFUE) are now in receivership. I have yet to find any news media detailing the situation, but having rang ENFFUE Australia head office it doesn't look good. Their office manager told me over the phone that 'we have just been placed into receivership and if you want to know about getting access to E85 in the future you will have to liaise directly with the service station owners' - understandably, she didn't sound very happy :D

There are currently only two service stations in SA that sell E85 and both are ENFFUE outlets. The manager at the main station said he has no idea about the future of E85 at their servo’, or any of servo’ in SA for that matter. His words were “I have 400L left and after that, who knows. If you want some you’d better get down here quick.”

However, on the flipside, it turns out a local race fuel/oil distributor that I have had dealings with over the years has recently set themselves up to sell a high-performance E85 brew (E85/98). They are charging $1.70L and are ‘hoping’ they can maintain a regular supply. Why hoping? Because they were sourcing their E85 through the same supply chain as ENFFUE. I have stocked up on this brew (have ~$170L) and am hoping this will last me until a regular supply has been re-established. Failing that it looks like I’ll be paying a shitload for 200L drums - as required. It will be interesting to see if my current tune will require any tweaking to suit the E85/98 brew vs. the old E85/91 brew.

Oh, and I entered in a 40 car field dyno day last weekend. Lee (RB25DETS2) encouraged me to enter, lent me his rear wheels and tyres (had MT ET Radials fitted and they don’t like dyno rollers), and provided his tools and assistance to swap rears. It came as a huge surprise when I ended up winning the event outright with 366rwkw on 22.5psi. Lee’s ’33 came a strong second with 356rwkw on 23psi. One or two big hitters didn’t make it on the day and one or two had issues, so I kind of fell over the line more than anything else.

    • A 1.5 way is a 2 way. It is just a 2 way with a less aggressive ramp on overrun.
    • The ABS and/or TCS being missing/broken will not cause the engine to misbehave. It just casues CEL to come on and annoy you. The CEL is useless if it is always on, so you have to do the things you have to do to get rid of it, so it can be useful. Being a Stag ECU, then yes, it will not expect TCS to be present. But it will expect ABS to be present and working. You will need to either make the ABS CU talk to the ECU (don't ask me what that will take on an NA R34), and make sure the hardware is working....or, you just need to blank it out in Nistune. Do not persist with the stock ECU. You will just have problems. Gte it Nistuned. Start from there. DO YOU HAVE A BOOST SENSOR? The ECU's boost sensor that it. It is connected to the loom at the rear of the coil cover. Usually rides on the firewall on an R34, but is usually bolted down to a bracket along with all the other crap at the back of the coil cover when a Neo is dropped into another car. If you do not have it, the ECU will shit the bed. So, do you have one?
    • So sadly the fuel pump etc was not it. The pump and filter is new and it is still cutting around 4000 rpm. A read something about ABS/TCS (engine is from stagea and ECU too so no TCS) and i dont know for 100% that my car has ABS. It has ABS "cube" in engine bay but i dont think it works(or at least from my braking experience). Can be something like that?  I will be driving the car next week to Nistune tuner to properly see what is wrong...
    • the Tomei LSD fluid with lsd kit. frustrated that it was shaking the car to crap and affecting everything else negatively, I pulled the diff last night, and removed the lsd carrier, could not find anything wrong, however it seem to be 100 locked up acceleration, and deacceleration, wondering if they sent me a 2 way not a 1.5??  either way I installed the stock open carrier back in place. test drove everything smooth as butter again. no shake, shutter, random, what felt like clutch slip and grab or drive shaft play, etc. something differently wrong in side the lsd. I might bother taking it apart (if possible) to figure out what's going on inside this carrier, as bought too long ago to return.  only draw back is its back to a one wheel wonder.
