Was driving home from a mates house on luxford rd through Bidwill/Lethridge Park (Near Mt Druitt) and was about to drive past a group of teenagers (about 15 of them)... All of a sudden... one of them jumps up runs straight towards my car and belts a beer bottle straight at me...

It went straight threw the rear glass (the one behind the passenger window)...

wot a f**king bunch of useless, jealous, drunk mother f**kers!!!! if there went so many i would made use of the trolley pole i keep handy in my car...

called the cops... gave em the report... they said they are gonna drive past the area and check it out... but dont think anything will happen... (one of the cops was actually complimenting my car lol)

How much do ya rekon it will cost to replace the glass?? only have 3rd party so cant claim any insurance (premiums would have not been worth the repair costs anyway)..

any1 know a nice shop where i can get the work done? somewhere that wont rip me off hehe..

just wanted to vent i guess

thanks guys

Your best and cheapest bet would be to go to a Jap wrecker and source another window.

Then either call a local glass mob to install it for you, might be worth giving some smash repairers a go for the install.

they're pretty easy to get out, had to do it when getting the car resprayed.. you just need the strongest, thinnest metal wire you can find and strong arms/hands.

it would be easier to get a wrecker though.

Damn that sucks man, I work on luxford road so can just imagine the type of scum you encountered, try SSS automotive in girraween for a replacement bit of glass. Or even ring windscreens o brien, when I smashed the window on my S13 I rang them up and was surprised they actually had glass in stock for it.

yeah jap wreckers is the best bet.....for a used second hand one.

3rd party? that wont cover you even if you wanted to.........your only covered for the damages to the other party.....

(geee your pretty brave to drive a car on 3rd party.....)

anyhow good luck

try not to be too upset........cause id bet you people down that way especially the guy who threw the beer bottle has been through 3 Generations of inbreeding already

I feel your pain, another example why people shouldn't sleep with their sister cause it leads to this type of D*ckhead behaviour-people throwing objects at moving cars should be classed as attempted murder by police & courts, with the offenders having to pay the price of repair as well as more than a few years inside.

Alternatively-Have you seen how Dexter deals with that type of scum????? lol

Lol @ dexter! We need his handywork...there's plenty of space in sydney harbour :D

Sux bout your car...f**king c*nts!! Good luck getting it repaired.

Yeh I used to do locum jobs at Lethbridge Pk & Shalvey pharmacies. There's a lot of angry, jealous and depressed people there. I feel sorry for the battlers trying to better their plight. But I've still got to drive a daily around there and park it in a patient's yard if I do a job for a day.

Man welcome to the club.

I had it happen twice last year in the space or 6 months - first was a beer bottle when parked out the front - square in the drivers side quarter.

Second happened on boxing day parked outside a mates house, looks like the bozo punched it. Lucky for them we had the music up or they woulda had at least 10 pissed irish mofos all over them.

Pain to find and replace - as someone else said most of them break on removal - I was on the phone today still searching around for an r32 one.

shoulda reversed over the bunch of useless f**ks ... rear end damage isn't so expensive to repair, totally worth it imo.

yeah......and then he will be charged for Attempted Murder as well as well as attempting to inflict grevious bodily harm....

then he'll end up getting bumjacked in prison......just for those inbreds out in that rural place?!

its not worth it....

    • looking for some help and maybe some insight on others experience with a new LSD. R34 GT ran and drove beautifully, but always alot of grip loss due to the open R200 rear end, so I just installed a new 1.5 LSD way into the stock open R200 for a ER34. Simple. Everything seemed right. I test drove for the first time this weekend. as I started to back out the garage the first time slowly with tires straight it sounded and felt like I had a loose or half disconnected drive shaft...that was clucking around loose and shaking entire vehicle, and making it feel like the trans clutch was spontaneously slipping then grabbing very roughly while just letting out pedal slowly. I backed it out went to pull forward with the same noise, shake and slip grab feeling with hesitation, I turned the tires to back out more and then pulled ahead some same thing but worst because of added wheel resistance (which that I expected) puzzled … pulling it back in checking everything over and finding nothing wrong, I tried it the next day. same thing, couldn’t believe how it shook everything again making a terrible noise and making it feel like the trans clutch was slipping and grabbing, but I got it out of garage into the driveway, got it straight, drove forward and then reveres a few times in a straight line everything shaking , causing what felt like clutch slip and grab every time, sounded like right behind front driver tire and I could feel it in the floor board with my feet,... worst right when beginning to let clutch pedal out to engage slightly, shuttering and sounding terrible along the way…I managed to slowly get down the road, babying it the whole way, once I was rolling (out of 1st) seemed to be better and between shifts, then clutch felt closer to normal…not slip/ grab etc., but back down to any stop, straight road or turning, same thing. Made no difference if all tires were straight or if I was turning. All other gauge read out correct. with in 2 miles as planned I reached the empty parking lot and performed the break in procedure that came with lsd, essentially to drive in a figure 8 a bunch.  Did this, binding chattering, and shaking the car the whole way. I drove it back home seemed somewhat normal once I was in straight line and past 10 mph or so, and I know it will “bind” on corners and cause some tires squeal when turning especially from a stop, but when I begin to move it still causes what feels like the trans clutch to slip and jerk badly as well as shaking the entire car, and sounds terrible, that I didn’t expect. I used the fluid they supplied with LSD kit and did the breaking, planning to change fluid as they suggest after breaking, but wondering will it get smoother or less aggressive with use? maybe a 1.5 is just too aggressive for normal road driving?   I have a LSD that I put in my 71 cuda when I restored it, with amazing smooth , quite yet effective results. Different style LSD but that ones a joy to drive. maybe expecting too much from this R200?

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
