Have seen stock turbo evo's do 120mph, that's a TD05H 16G.

Stao you really need to get your car out to the track with an SS2 or G3 attached. It's the only solution.

low mount or high mount hasn't got that much 2 do with it... ive seen multiple low mount setups run into the 115-120mph with 280-300kw.. its normal..

A proper aftermarket manifold with ext gate vs factory manifold. On paper the torque and power curve is very different after 5500RPMs and when driving it my current setup pulls very hard till red while it doesn't on stock. One the other hand tyres , wheels, driver skills and etc all takes effects so there are a lot variances.

Well we are not comparing to other make of cars. Trying to get my car to the drags. Not sure whats happening to calder park this days. Seems they are no longer opening for weekend drags and I've been trying to ring them for 2 weeks and no one's attending phone calls either.

All of those variables affect the end time, not really the trap speed. End of the day, my best speeds are close to that of a stock R34. The stock manifold isn't my problem. Cam timing could well be. I also think I may have been getting some slight misfire last night, I'll look into that.

Dame. Thats the closest one to the city. Where does majority of Melbourne people go for drags now?

All we need is one person to do 300kw and trap 120 with a G3 and we can make a call on this situation.

Just one result I reckon.

I'm not expecting my car to let me down. at present it has an ARP bolt snapped in the crank though, so my planned drag trip is a little delayed.

Stock manifold was 57kws behind a my current high mount setup using running the same turbocharger. It will be good if you can come for test drive with my car during your next visit in Melbourne.

If top end power and torque has nothing to do with trap speed while only decrease end time, then is there a actual connection between trap speed to the turbocharger. Or is it more gear ratio related? as in it is limited to what ever it might be on 5th gear at 7000RPMs.

Just got my car retuned today. So happy with the results!! :)

Made 38kw more with 1psi less. Then went further and the clutch started slipping *rolls eyes*

Now saving for new clutch...

It does but if you made 300rwkw youd be around 118-120mph ish and if you made 370-380rwkw you'd be at 128 mph ish

so high mount/low mount/mounted on a donkey, it doesn't matter.

Area under the curve power wise changes mph, as does response after gear change ...only on manuals though really , autos "slip" through it

Small turbos sometime run similiar/same mph traps to mid track, then fall over from the next half compared to the bigger one

Nice result Nick, now change your clutch and off to the drags :)

Stao the cars have the ability to hit 220-240km, regardless of model and gear ratio options (of the usual diff and gearbox combos available). The speed at the end of the drag strip is mostly down to weight and power. You can generally calculate what MPH should be reached by knowing those two.

What I need to see if a stock manifold IWG G3 with claimed 300kw hit 120MPH (200km) down the strip. Then I will be comfortable to say the cars with low trap speeds must have issues.

If we arent able to prove a G3 capable of 120MPH the first thing I would debunk is the FNT. Run with and without to see if there is a difference.

Seeing as you have already taken your existing turbo technology to its peak, and are getting good numbers with good response, I would say doing back to back drag runs would be your next point of call. Have a little fun while truly proving the product.

I myself am a full believer and own an SS1PU for anyone interested, I am just wanting the proof to back up my beliefs.

    • Hi...so a "development" here aswell The swap is "done" and car went "test drive" BUT it seems the clutch(maybe gearbox?) is a little bit sad? I bought this clutch kit https://justjap.com/products/xtreme-heavy-duty-organic-clutch-flywheel-kit-nissan-skyline-r31-r32-r33-push-type "Problem" is that the first gear is hard to put into and it seems that the clutch is not disengaged. It was not the problem with the old clutch...(or like sometime the first gear would not get as easy specialy when the fluid was cold) So? Can it be like...bad "install" or is the clutch wrong ((it should not have been) i done research to get the right one) Or is this "normal" with new clutch and needs to be break in?
    • @Duncan I can try  and thanks i did not thought about VIN and part numbers for 33/34. @GTSBoy yeah it looks like iam gonna do that
    • Forgot to include this but this is the mid section of my steering rack that looks like it has a thread/can be turned with that notch mentioned in the post:
    • Hey everyone, Wanted to pick some brains about this issue I'm having with rebuilding my 33 rack (PN is 49001-19U05). All of the tutorials/videos I've seen online are either R34 or S Chassis racks which seem to be pretty straightforward to disassemble but this process doesnt carry over to my rack. Few of the key differences that I've noted The pinion shaft on the other racks bolt on with 3 torx bolts: Whereas my rack bolts on with 2 allen head bolts: These changes are pretty inconsequential but the main difference is how you pull the actual rack out of the housing. The other skyline/s chassis racks can be taken out by tapping the rack out of the body with a socket and it just slides right out. I'm unable to do that with my rack because there's a hard stop at the end that doesn't let the seal/shaft be tapped out. Can also see a difference in the other end of the rack where mine has a notch that looks like you're able to use a big wrench to unthread 2 halves of the rack whereas the other racks are just kinda set in with a punch. My rack: Other racks: TLDR; Wanted to know if anyone has rebuilt this specific model of steering rack for the R33 and if there were any steps to getting it done easier or if I should just give this to a professional to get done. Sorry if this post is a bit messy, first one I've done.
    • I would just put EBC back on the "I would not use their stuff" pile and move on.
