good work guys. should make a nice improvement with a functional gearbox and grippier tyres. i thought RSR's were quite grippy but with 350rwkw maybe they dont stand a chance, especially with axle tramp going on.

vids next time? :)

Nice work on the strip :-) glad its now proven that the turbos can trap the speed.

now its time for others to revisit their setups and their tuners.

Indeed, those trap speeds are much more like what one would expect from those power levels... for the sake of interest, what kind of blow of valve is this car running?

Well done stao and status - must've been interesting having it try to swap ends in 3rd or 4th on the strip! :P

Can't wait to get this new clutch in and get back to the strip.

What tyres are you going to run next? Some semis?

He's getting axle tramp as said which wouldn't be helping things.

Stao as reference if you aren't running pineapples already you should get onto it asap.

My S14 has pineapples and does not tramp at all, while friends who don't have the pineapples tramp like mofo's.

Yep, i agree... I had bad tramp and put the collers (dunno how to spell lol) and it made a HUGE difference....

Tramp is less about pineapples and subframe location issues than it is about damping. I agree, locking the subframe up with better/newer bushes and/or pineapples is a big help and probably a necessity, but I would always look to the rear damper settings/health as my main concern when trying to fix tramp.

GtScott: Would great if you can pass on a link to those pineapples. I will have a look into them.

Been recommended to Mickey Thomson 16inchs drag tyres. Will need to source that and a set of factory rear rims.

I took few video footages in bystander area. Will upload shortly.

Yep 11's would be my guess..... And yes locking the subframe made a huge difference on my car but doesnt mean it will on all cars :)

I'm thinking what happens if run a 1.06 turbine end on the G3. it should take away all the zappiness down low causing wheel spin while kicking in mid top range while the car's rolling at much higher speed.

Noob question. Quarter Time stands for taken completing the run. Does the car with higher mileage stands for a faster car after the completion of the track? assume if the run way is 1 full mile instead of quarter mile.

    • Yes the gear for the R33/34 is different, it is red and has a different number of teeth. My part didn't come with that gear though, so I don't know how many teeth are on the red one. You'd have to reuse the 260RS/R33 gear, as long as it's not destroyed.   Haha, as unfortunate as that might be it was working fine for about the first 1500km I've had the car for now.
    • Update all   thanks to the workshop manual, it lead me back to checking fuses as mentioned central locking and door open lights worked when acc was switched on. diagram attached shows two points of power 1. ACC and 2.  Batt with the later being fused (#28) I did check the fuses using a multimeter but I must have stuffed that up also. Went back and checked the batt fuse in interior fuse box and you wouldn’t believe it… a blown fuse. replaced fuse and everything is now working as it should including the climate control   thank you all with your positive insight and knowledge.
    • Where is the warning "That this thread is super old"   I just went into a 5 year old thread, went to do a reply, and couldn't see anywhere obvious a warning of it being super old
    • Duncan is correct. Pitwork (and Toyota's own cheap brand "Drive Joy") were primarily created as brands to sell other manufacturers car parts. It would be weird if Nissan sold parts for Toyota vehicles with a Nissan logo on it, so they created Pitwork to sell parts for other brans Toyota, Honda etc. They are not the same as Nissan genuine parts, although they *do* meet Nissan's standards for replacement parts. They aren't supposed to be a substitute for genuine parts, but a cheaper alternative that is better than Ebay fake parts from you-know-where.
    • Thanks GTSBoy, much easier to work with it now it's free!
